Filmmaker Patty Jenkins and actress Gal Gadot just dropped a new poster for Wonder Woman 1984 on their social media handles.
Filmmaker Patty Jenkins took to her social media profile and dropped the first look poster of the film and confirmed that Warner Bros are not going to Hall H. She wrote, “By now you’ve heard: WB isn’t going to Hall H this year. We’re so sad to miss you there! And waiting until Dec. to start our official #WW84 campaign in full- But the truth is… we can just… barely… wait…”
The film is titled Wonder Woman 1984, a superhero film based on the DC Comics character Wonder Woman, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is intended to be a sequel to the 2017’s Wonder Woman and is the ninth installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).
The film is directed by Patty Jenkins, who wrote it with Geoff Johns and David Callaham from a story written by Johns and Jenkins. It stars Gal Gadot in the title role, with Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, and Robin Wright in supporting roles.
Gal Gadot also shared her excitement, she wrote, “I cannot wait to share #WW84 with you all!! Until then we thought you might want to see this…”
Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled to be released in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures in RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema and IMAX 3D on June 5, 2020.
