Zoya Akhtar who co-created the Amazon hit series, Made in Heaven announced that the studio has given its blessing for a season two.
Akhtar shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday. Her post read. “Back to Work #day1 #writersroom #madeinheaven #season2 #herewego @reemakagti1 @alankrita601 @nityamehra19 @rahulnair8,” she captioned the photo.
Akhtar collaborated with Reema Kagti for the first season and its success shows that the collaboration will continue to go on. The drama follows two wedding planners who experience different upscale Delhi lives through the four different wedding they plan in the first season.
The show had a huge star cast including Arjun Mathur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin, Shashank Arora and Shivani Raghuvanshi.
The series also saw four different directors for different stories, like Akhtar, Nitya Mehra, Alankrita Shrivastava and Prashant Nair. Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, season one of the series has been streaming across 200 countries and territories since March 8.
