Bollywood’s pride and one of the most versatile actor Irrfan Khan passes away today as he breathed his last in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. The actor was admitted to the hospital yesterday after he was diagnosed with colon infection and was kept under observation.
The actor who was fighting a rare type of cancer since 2018 finally lost the battle and left for heavenly abode creating a huge vaccum in the Hindi and global film industries. The news came as a shock to the bollywood industry and his fans all over the world.
Meet Bros duo Harmeet and Manmeet had the chance to work with the star once . They are shocked and saddened over his untimely demise. Harmeet Singh expressed his grief and shared, “Irrfan Khan was such a great and legendary actor. He used to act so naturally and proficiently, that it was really hard to judge him. It was my stroke of luck that I got a chance to work with him at the beginning of my career. Together we worked in a song for the film ‘Paan Singh Tomar’. I am very saddened to hear his news of demise. I pray that his soul rests in peace. And may God grace his family with strength and all the blessings.”
Manmeet Singh is also in deep shock and expressed his grief, ” In this world many people come and go. It’s a rule of mother nature. Today I am feeling very painful from inside. Even the environment seems to be very sad and gloomy. Irrfan Khan was awfully a great personality. He made his own identity in the Industry. And through his hard work won the hearts of millions. When we are feeling so dejected from the inside, just imagine the condition of his family. Even his relatives and close friends who wanted to attend the funeral couldn’t make it due to the ongoing situation of lockdown. It’s really sad and we are missing him a lot. Only for one time, I got a chance to work with him in the film ‘Paan Singh Tomar’. The film also received a National award. After that, I never got a chance to work with him again. But I enjoyed watching all his films. I know that wherever he is, he must be smiling with his cute dimple. All I want to say is Irrfan Khan we really miss you. You were a great person and a great artist. And I really pray that God gives his family strength.”
One of Bollywood”s finest actors, Khan, had worked in various famous Bollywood films such as “Piku”, “Sunday”, “The Lunchbox”,”Aan: Men at work”, and “Ghaath”. He won over millions of fans with his roles in numerous international and Indian films. Khan”s last film was “Angrezi Medium” which ran in theatres for just a day before cinema halls across India were shut due to the lockdown.
