Social media world is a strange place, where one could trend for something he or she said years ago. With World locked inside their homes due to Covid-19 Pandemic, singer Sonu Nigam is stuck in Dubai and due to his remark three years ago about Mosque using loudspeaker, trolls wants him arrested.
Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam, in 2017 tweeted a series of polarising comments about how the sounds emanating from loudspeakers at mosques during the morning prayers disturbed his sleep. Following an avalanche of criticism for his perceived hate-filled Islamophbic tweets, Nigam fought back initially explaining his stand and ultimately quit Twitter.
Just yesterday, the screenshot of the tweet is being shared over the past few days with people in Dubai asking the police to take action against him. The singer has quit Twitter, but still trending.
Budding singer Adnan Sami stepped up and wrote an awe-inspiring tweet about the singer and urged people to leave him alone.
As far as Sonu Nigam is concerned, forget about his singing which is incredibly beautiful; he is a true brother who has always been by my side & loved me like my own!! I know for a fact, personally, that he respects all faiths!! Kindly leave him alone… #WithYouSonuNigam pic.twitter.com/0NQb6L3f9y

He had posted tweets attacking Muslims over the Tablighi Jamaat congregation held in March in Delhi that led to surge of coronavirus cases cases in India. Princess Qassimi shared the screenshots of his tweets and warned that those engaging in racism and Islamophobia will have to pay penalty and will be made to leave UAE.
