Ananya Panday slams rumors about admission in USC, says ‘didnt feel the need to explain myself to anyone’

Ananya Panday who debuted with Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year 2’ has been surrounded by a controversy for quite some time now. Reports claimed the actress had lied about getting admission in one of the most prestigious universities in US. However, she finally broke the silence on the matter and presented details of her admission.

Ananya recently gained fame post her debut film, the actress was targeted by a troll that claimed to be her friend in school and shared screenshots of text messages and stories that talked about how the actress is not who she claims to be including her fake college admission at USC for a communications program.

Panday shared photos of her admission documentation and acceptance letter on her Twitter account proving the controversy wrong, She shared a long thread with each paper photo and talked about how the claims were affecting her and her loved ones. She wrote, “I didn’t want to do this. I didn’t feel like I needed to explain myself to anyone, but the rumors that I faked my admission at USC have been doing the rounds for a while now.”

She added, “they’ve been getting out of hand, and it’s even more unfair and sad that my family and friends have to go through this. As I’ve stated earlier, I was accepted by Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at USC for a major in Communication in the Spring 2018 semester.”

The pictures make it clear that she had been granted admission to the US College and that she had postponed her admission twice. She also said the social media user who claims to be her friend is a faceless troll. “I would like to send you all lots of love, peace and positivity. And would also like to say that even though they’re claiming to be my classmates (nameless and faceless) -I’m sure they aren’t because I’ve grown up with the people I went to school with and they would never do something like that. It’s never okay to bully anyone – creating fake conversations, stories and screenshots is very dangerous and can seriously damage people’s lives.” she wrote on Twitter.

Ananya will also be seen in the Bhumi Pednekar and Kartik Aaryan starrer, ‘Pati Patani Aur Woh’.The films is a remake to the original 1978 drama, starring Sanjeev Kumar is a comical tale on extramarital affairs.
