Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, who is making Panipat with Arjun Kapoor in the lead role, praises actor’s latest outing India’s Most Wanted and calls Arjun’s performance as powerful and restrained.
Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowarikar just took to his social media profile and praised the film along with Arjun Kapoor’s performance. He wrote, “Literally WITNESSED the capturing of “India’s Osama” in #IndiasMostWanted! Amazingly PACY tribute to India’s UNSUNG heroes. A high-on-ADRENALINE film by @rajkumar_rkg And a restrained but powerful performance by @arjunk26 in creating the character of PRABHAT! CONGRATS Team IMW!!”
Arjun Kapoor also thanked the filmmaker for such high praises. He replied, “Sir I’m honoured that u enjoyed our manhunt and true account so much…Thank u sir!!!”
Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker and Arjun Kapoor are collaborating for the first time for a period drama titled Panipat. The film is based on the Third Battle of Panipat, between the Marathas (led by Sadashiv Rao Bhau) and the invading Afghans (led by Ahmad Shah Abdali). The film also stars Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles.
As for India’s Most Wanted, the action thriller is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film is about tracking a terrorist in a secret mission and arresting him without firing bullets. This film also deals with a journey of Prabhat Kapoor’s (played by Arjun Kapoor) life of action adventure.
India’s Most Wanted is inspired by the arrest of proscribed organisation Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist Abdul Subhan Qureshi, also referred to as India’s Osama Bin Laden, in January 2018 by Delhi Police.
The IMW opens in theatres on 24th May 2019.
