Hello Monday What’s For Me!, Says Mandira Bedi

A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset. Actor and television presenter Mandira Bedi is all looking forward to her Monday plans. Taking to her Instagram handle Mandira posted her pictures and penned down a few words calling it Hello Monday! In the pictures, Mandira is seen posing smilingly and wearing a black and white casual short dress.

The Instagram feed of Mandira read, “Hello Monday!! Looking forward to what you have for me!”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Mandira Bedi first rose to prominence when she played the titular role in the acclaimed Doordarshan soap opera Shanti in 1994. In the following year, she made her feature film debut with a supporting role in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995). Since then, Mandira has appeared in numerous TV shows and films in the course of a career spanning over two decades.

While shows like Shanti, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and 24: India have earned the actress a permanent place in the hearts of television audience, she has also made her mark as a sporting event host by fronting the coverage of prestigious cricketing events like ICC Cricket World Cup and Indian Premier League.

In 2013, Mandira debuted as a fashion designer by launching her signature saree collection and store. Other significant feature film credits include Dus Kahaniyaan (2007), Meerabai Not Out (2008), the 2018 crime thriller Vodka Diaries (2018), and the trilingual action-thriller Saaho (2019).

‘Simmba’ And ‘Saand Ki Aankh” Creates Magic In USA

Reliance Entertainment bankrolled Simmba and Saand Ki Aankh are currently being re-released in USA and people are enjoying the magic of Indian cinema overseas.

Though in India due to pandemic theatres are still out of business. But in the USA it seems that life is getting usual. Both the movies are all set to create its magic in Regal Virginia Center and Regal Countryside, Virginia USA from 28th August.

Simmba, directed by Rohit Shetty, produced by Dharma Productions starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan minted Rs 200 crore at the box office. The film was an out and out action-comedy and proved out to be a full-on entertainer with all the ingredients of a blockbuster. From its songs to the dialogues, everything left an impact on the audience as well as the critics. The movie is now all geared up to catch the eyeballs of the audience in the USA.

Biographical drama Saand Ki Aankh was helmed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Anurag Kashyap, Reliance Entertainment and Nidhi Parmar. The film features Taapsee Pannu, Bhumi Pednekar, Prakash Jha, Pawan Chopra, Vineet Kumar Singh and Shaad Randhawa in the supporting roles. It is based on the lives of sharpshooters Chandro and Prakashi Tomar.

Hate The Way is crooned by Rameet Sandhu and Denny, and it is bankrolled by Mourjo Chatterjee, the song features Sobhita in a whole new jacketed and cool avatar.

Meanwhile on the cinema front, apart from Kurup and Major in her kitty, Sobhita is also part of mega movie Ponniyin Selvan, which is written and directed by Mani Ratnam and produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies. It is an adaptation of Kalki Krishnamurthy’s historical period based fictional novel of the same name.

The makers of Ram Singh Charlie movie, finally drops the first official trailer along with the release date. The film stars Kumud Mishra and Divya Dutta in leading roles, helmed by Nitin Kakkar.

The film will stream on 28th August, the tragic-comic tale of Ramsingh, as a Charlie Chaplin impersonator who performs in a travelling circus. He is unexpectedly thrown into the bigger circus of life where he has to now juggle between his role as a father and that of a performer, all without a safety net.

Facing a crisis of confidence as an artist, he must now brave the odds for one last shot at the sparkling lights of show business. He loses a little of himself in a world that has little space for dreams. Along the journey he realises that to do what he wants, he’ll do what he has to do.

Warner Bros Drops Extended Trailer Of Tenet

Right before the theatrical release of Tenet, the makers drop an extended trailer of Christopher Nolan’s much awaited sci-fi action thriller.

The official handle of Warner Bros. India dropped the new extended trailer. The caption read, “Time is running out. #TENET only in cinemas”

Tenet is a sci-fi spy thriller film written and directed by Christopher Nolan, who produced it with Emma Thomas. A co-production between the United Kingdom and United States, the film stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh.

Nolan took more than five years to write the screenplay after deliberating about Tenet’s central ideas for over a decade.

Delayed three times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tenet is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in 70 international territories on August 26, 2020, and in select cities across the United States on September 3, 2020, in IMAX, 35 mm, and 70 mm.

The film received generally positive reviews from critics, with some favourably comparing it to Nolan’s Inception and praising the cast’s performances, though some lamented the confusing plot.

Taapsee Pannu Is All Set For The Shoot Of Her Upcoming Movie ‘Rashmi Rocket’

Getting back to work after a long pause gives a thrilling and exciting feeling. Actor Taapsee Pannu is all set to start shooting for her upcoming film ‘Rashmi Rocket’. Taking to her Instagram handle the ‘Pink’ actor announced that things are getting back on track. And will start shooting for the film in November of this year. Adding to it, Taapsee also shared the poster of her movie. In which she is seen in a typical Gujrati avatar.

Taapsee on her Instagram wrote, “Getting back on track, one lap at a time! #RashmiRocket to start shooting this November. #FridayWithRSVP”

Rashmi Rocket is a sports drama directed by Akarsh Khurana, it also features Priyanshu Painyuli. The film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand, Pranjal Khandhdiya, It is written by Nanda Periyasamy.

Rashmi Rocket talks about the journey of a fictional Gujarati girl named Rashmi, who is a fast runner, and people from her village call her “Rocket”. Taapsee plays the main lead, her character in the film hails from Kutch in Gujarat and has to conquer her field despite many hurdles.

Meanwhile, on the work front, she was last seen in ‘Thappad’ helmed by filmmaker Anubhav Sinha. She will be next seen in an upcoming thriller ‘Haseen Dillruba.’

Actor Dulquer Salmaan unveils the first look poster of next outing, an untitled trilingual period romantic drama set in 1964!

Dulquer Salmaan dropped three posters on his social media profile. He captioned them, “It is my pleasure and honor to associate with Hanu Raghavapudi, Swapna Cinemas and Vyjayanthi Movies for this trilingual period drama. Thank you for this lovely surprise. Can’t wait to don the role of Lieutenant Ram”

The film is set in 1964, will be directed by Hanu Raghavapudi will be directing the movie, which will be released in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu languages.

Priyanka Dutt of Swapna Cinemas is backing the project under the banner Vyjayanthi Movies, who has earlier presented the award winning movie ‘Mahanati’.

Dulquer, who was last seen in films including ‘Varane Avashyamund’ and ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal’, will next be seen in ‘Kurup’ and Brinda Gopal’s ‘Hey Sinamika’, among others. ‘Hey Sinamika’, will also star Aditi Rao Hydari and Kajal Aggarwal.

Dulquer also shared screen space with Sonam Kapoor in The Zoya Factor.

Aparshakti Khurana recently took to Instagram to share the first look of his upcoming song, Ghanta and now drops the small teaser.

Helmet is a quirky comedy depicting the ground reality in the heartlands of the country, where talking about protection is awkward. The film is produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions and Dino Morea. The supporting cast includes Abhishek Banerjee and Ashish Verma.

Hansal Mehta And Rajkummar Rao Are Overwhelmed With Omerta’s Response

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta and actor Rajkummar Rao are probably the new-age Jodi of Bollywood which has created a niche for parallel and content driven cinema, with their latest collaboration Omerta, hitting all the right notes with audience, the filmmaker-actor duo are nothing but overwhelmed with such amazing response.

‘Omerta’ is based on the life of British Born Pakistani terrorist Omar Saeed Sheikh, helmed by Hansal Mehta and stars Rajkumar Rao in the role. The film explores the 1994 kidnappings of Westerners in India for which Omar was arrested and served time in prison and the plotting of murder of Wall Street journalist Daniel Pearl in 2002.

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta just took to his social media and shared a candid still with Rajkummar Rao and wrote, “Thank you for the outpouring of appreciation. #Omerta was a difficult journey but a very satisfying journey. We were very happy making it. Glad I’m alive to witness the overwhelming love it is receiving. It gives us strength for the forward journey. Love to the entire team”

Actor Rajkummar Rao also replied to the same and wrote, “To Many more sir. #Overwhelmed by the response our labour of love #Omerta is getting. Thank you @ZEE5Premium for your support”

The film also features Rajesh Tailang, Rupinder Nagra and Keval Arora in key roles. Film has been co written by actor Mukul Dev who has done detailed research about the character. Film is streaming on ZEE5 and it surely demands a watch super soon!

Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar Rao’s next collaboration is Chhalaang, which is a social black comedy drama, also starring Nushrat Bharucha.

It is produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg and Bhushan Kumar. The plot is set in a small town of Uttar Pradesh.

Anthology Based On Coronavirus Pandemic By Anubhav Sinha

Article 15’ director Anubhav Sinha is all set to produce a movie on the ongoing global corona-virus pandemic. The anthology film, will features narrative from veteran filmmakers such as Hansal Mehta, Sudhir Mishra, Ketan Mehta, and Subhash Kapoor.

The anthology film is not titled yet but the announcement has been made with filmmaker names, cast and crew details are yet to be revealed.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh dropped the confirmation on the project. He tweeted, “IT’S OFFICIAL…After #Thappad, Anubhav Sinha to produce an anthology film [not titled yet]…Based on stories and experiences from #CoronaVirus pandemic…#AnubhavSinha, #SudhirMishra, #HansalMehta, #KetanMehta and #SubhashKapoor will direct a story in this anthology film”

Later, Sinha shared the same information on Instagram by reposting the news shared by film critic Taran Adarsh.

In the post, it is mentioned that Sinha is set to produce an anthology film, which is based on the “stories and experiences” from the COVID-19 crisis. However, the casting, title of the movie, and more details are yet to be officially announced.

In 2019, Sinha produced and directed Article 15 under his production house Benaras Media Works with Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead. The film is based on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which is about prohibition of discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.

Sinha helmed Thappad starring Taapsee Pannu, which released on 28th February 2020, and received highly positive reviews from critics, but was a moderate success at the box-office. Sinha is also the founder and owner of Benaras Media Works, the production company which he established in 2012 to produce his films and television projects.
