Check Out Chiyaan Vikram From Cobra

The makers of Chiyaan Vikram’s Cobra are out with a working still from the film, which has fans in hysteria.

Cobra movie is Ajay Gnanamuthu’s first collaboration with Chiyaan Vikram. It is, however, Chiyaan Vikram’s third collaboration with AR Rahman post-Raavanan.

Cobra movie was officially announced in May 2019 and also marks the debut of Indian cricketer, Irrfan Pathan. He will be reportedly playing Vikram’s antagonist.

Helmed by 7 Screen Studio in association with Viacom 18 Studios, Cobra movie is expected to have big names from the industry for both cast and technicians. The production of the movie is expected to be a grand.

Cobra went on floors in August 2019 but the production got stalled due to the lockdown. The makers, however, hope to release it this year. The film will be dubbed in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu to cater to a pan-India audience.

Cobra also stars Srinidhi Shetty and Miya. This film marks the Tamil debut of Srinidhi Shetty. The cinematography handled by Harish Kannan and edited by Bhuvan Srinivasan.

Apart from Cobra, Vikram has Dhruva Natchathiram, Mahavir Karna, Ponniyin Selvan and Chiyaan 60 in his kitty.

Anand Gandhi Confirms His Next, Emergence

Filmmaker Anand Gandhi confirms his next movie Emergence based on 2015 pandemic, unveils first concept art on social media.

National Award Winning filmmaker Anand Gandhi is known for some of the most prolific and though provoking movies, such as Ship Of Thesus, Tumbbad, An Insignificant Man and more.

The filmmaker took to his social media profile and confirmed his next outing. He tweeted, “I started working on an existential risk script with a focus on pandemics in 2015. After five years of intensive research and scripting, sharing our first concept art as we begin the casting process. #Emergence #7YearsOfShipOfTheseus”

Anand Gandhi confirmed his next outing on the eve of his directorial masterpiece, Ship Of Thesus, clocking seven years.

The poster depicts different activities being carried out, in the background. It shows earth being struck by a meteorite and being invaded by alien objects, while at the forefront it shows a lady astronaut blowing air to a place resembling Antarctica, as the glaciers meltdown. The poster also shows the penguins, polar bears and fishes in the Antarctic amid the melting area.

Tumbbad premiered in the critics’ week section of the 75th Venice International Film Festival—the first Indian film to be screened there. It was also screened at: the 2018 Fantastic Fest, Sitges Film Festival, the Screamfest Horror Film Festival, the El Gouna Film Festival, 23rd International Film Festival of Kerala, Morbido Film Fest, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival and Nitte International Film Festival. It was released on 12 October 2018 to mostly positive reviews with critics praising the visuals.

Tumbbad received eight nominations at the 64th Filmfare Awards winning three for Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction and Best Sound Design.

Aftab Shivdasani Launches His Own Production House ‘Mount Zen Media’

Actors these days not only like being in front of the camera, but also love being behind it creating magic in the production. After the likes of Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kangana Ranaut, Akshay Kumar, Vivek Oberoi and many others, the latest star to join the bandwagon and announce his own production house is Aftab Shivdasani. Aftab along with his wife Nin Dusanj  have launched their own production house called ‘Mount Zen Media’.

Film Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh broke this news to everyone and wrote, “ANNOUNCEMENT…#AftabShivdasani and wife #NinDusanjShivdasani launch their production house : Mount Zen Media…#Aftab and #Nin’s production house will create content ranging from films, online shows and documentaries. #MountZenMedia”

The couple who has been married for six years now will be now busy making films, online shows and documentaries and bringing new content on the table for the audience.  Earlier Aftab and Nin had also opened up their event company called ‘Saint’ in the year 2016.

On the work front, Aftab will soon be seen making his digital debut with ZEE5 web series ‘Poison 2’. Directed by Vishal Pandya, the series promises to be a good thriller which will keep you hooked to your seats. He will also be seen in the upcoming comedy film ‘Tom, Dick and Harry 2’ alongside Jimmy Shergill, Sharman Joshi, Sana Khan, Pooja Chopra and Amyra Dastur. The film is a sequel to 2006 film ‘Tom, Dick and Harry’.

Bollywood Pours Condolences For Filmmaker Rajat Mukherjee

On one side the world is trying to overcome the coronavirus pandemic. And on the other side, Bollywood is losing its stars. Filmmaker Rajat Mukherjee who was known for directing films like ‘Pyaar Tune Kya Kiyaa’, ‘Road’ and ‘Love In Nepal’, passed away on Sunday.

According to the reports he was dealing with multiple health problems and was suffering from an illness for a long time. Many Bollywood celebrities paid their condolences for the filmmaker, such as Manoj Bajapyee, Hansal Mehta, Anubhav Sinha, Urmila Matondkar, Vivek Oberio and more.

Bajpayee shared the news on social media. He wrote, “My friend and director of Road, Rajat Mukherjee passed away in the early hours today in Jaipur after a long battle with illness!!! Rest in peace Rajat!! Still can’t believe that we will never meet or discuss our work ever again. khush reh jaha bhi reh.”

Director Hansal Mehta also shared on twitter, “Just got news about the passing away of a dear friend. Rajat Mukherjee director of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya and Road was a friend from our early, early struggles in Bombay. Many meals, many bottles of Old Monk consumed. Many more to consume in another world. Will miss you dear friend.”

Anubhav Sinha wrote, “Another friend gone too soon. Director Rajat Mukherjee (Pyar Tune Kya Kiya, Road). He was dealing with multiple health situations past few months in Jaipur. Go well mate.” Hansal Mehta tweeted, “Just got news about the passing away of a dear friend. Rajat Mukherjee director of Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya and Road was a friend from our early, early struggles in Bombay. Many meals, many bottles of Old Monk consumed. Many more to consume in another world. Vivek Oberoi wrote, “Truly sad to hear about the passing away of #RajatMukherjee. Will always cherish the memories of the wonderful experiences we had while shooting for #Road. I hope and pray he’s happy and at eternal peace wherever he is. Heartfelt condolences to the family”

Prabhas And Deepika Padukone Paired In Ashwin Nag’s Next

Vyjayanthi Movies announces historic pairing of Prabhas and Deepika for their next! The film will be directed by the young and immensely talented director, Ashwin Nag.

One always wondered what it would be like when the most successful actor and and the most successful actress; one from the north and one from the south come together for a film. On the poster, Sidharth is seen sporting white shirt and pants, while Neha looks gorgeous in an off-shoulder top paired with a furry skirt. Pink lips and dewy make-up, Neha let her hair loose.  The forthcoming song is crooned by Neha Kakkar and produced by Anshul Garg of Desi Music factory.

Sidharth Shukla was last seen in a music video, Bhula Dunga, with his Bigg Boss 13 housemate Shehnaaz Gill. The music video has more than 73 million views on YouTube.

Bhuj: The Pride of India is set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pak war in 1971. In the movie, Ajay Devgn essays the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik who persuaded 300 women from a village in Madhapur in Gujarat to reconstruct the air-strip during the war so that Air Force officers could land safely.

Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, played by Sonakshi, helped Vijay and got the runway constructed.

The film, helmed by Abhishek Dudhaiya and produced by Bhushan Kumar, stars Sanjay Dutt as Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari ‘Pagi’ and Rana Daggubati as Lt Colonel of Madras Regimen.

Parineeti Chopra plays the role of an Indian spy in the movie. Ammy Virk, Sharad Kelkar and Pranitha Subhash will also be seen in pivotal roles.

Just yesterday, Netflix India dropped confirmation of 17 originals, films and web-series, and now makers of Ginny Webs Sunny are out with first official motion poster, featuring Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam.

Ginny Weds Sunny is a romantic comedy film starring Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey as the titular characters, Ginny and Sunny, respectively. It is directed by debutant Puneet Khanna and produced by Vinod Bachchan.

Vikrant Massey took to his social media profile and dropped the dazzling motion poster of the movie and expressed his excitement. He captioned it, “A match-maker by profession, this mother is determined to write a fairy tale love story for her daughter who clearly has other plans. The movie’s official synopsis reads, “Ginny, living with her matchmaker mom in Delhi, gets set up with Sunny, who has given up on the idea of love and just wants to get married and settle down. However, the match is not that simple, and as Ginny meets Sunny, a lot more comes to the fore than previously imagined in this tale of love, life, weddings and music.”

The audience will get to see how Sunny, after being turned down by Ginny, will not budge, rather team up with her mother to win her over.

Janhvi Kapoor Starrer ‘Gunjan Saxena- The Kargil Girl’ Gets A Release Date!

It’s a treat day for all crazy fans who binge watch content on OTT Platforms as Netflix India has dropped names of 17 originals that will be releasing soon on their platform. People are going crazy and cannot wait to watch these films and web shows. While release dates for the rest 16 have not been declared, however, Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Gunjan Saxena- The Kargil Girl’ has got a release date. The film will stream from 12 August.

Janhvi shared the news on her instagram account and wrote, “Proud to bring to you the story of India’s first woman Air Force Officer to go to war. A journey that I hope will inspire you the way that it has inspired me. Gunjan Saxena- The Kargil Girl is landing on 12th August to your #Netflix screens.”

The film is a biopic on the life of Indian Air Force Pilot Gunjan Saxena, the first female and Indian woman airforce pilot in combat along with Srividya Rajan. Gunjan rescued the soldiers during the Kargil War in 1999 and was honoured with Shaurya Vir Award.

The film is directed by Sharan Sharma and is produced under Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. Film also features Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi in supporting roles.

Film will stream on Netflix from 12th August.

Netflix’s Project Power Trailer Is Out

Jamie Foxx and Joseph Gordon-Levitt starrer Netflix’s Project Power trailer is out and this one plays around with some super powered chemistry; with a very big catch.

Directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, Project Power focuses on a drug named, aptly enough, “Power.” With the ability to give anyone who takes it superpowers, such as invisibility or the generation of fire and/or ice, it’s a perky pill that only gives the user five minutes of marvelous abilities. And the biggest twist is – you never know what your power will be until you try the drug for yourself.

That’s apparently enough of a risk though, as a kingpin (Westworld’s Rodrigo Santoro) is looking to go into business trafficking this stuff hardcore. It’s up to Jamie Foxx’s ex-soldier and Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s cop to bust this operation up and, with the help of a young Power dealer (Dominique Fishback), they’re going to take their fight to their enemies.

Not only is Netflix getting into the superhero game with Project Power, but they’re doing so with a pretty big distinction from most of the competition.
