Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ which releases on Amazon Prime Video Today, will stream in 200 countries in 15 different languages, making it first of its kind premiere for a Indian commercial drama.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh made the announcement about the Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana starrer on social media. He tweeted last night, “#GulaboSitabo will premiere in 200 countries, with subtitles in 15 languages: #Arabic, #Russian, #Polish, #German, #French, #Spanish, #Italian, #Portuguese, #Indonesian, #Malay, #Korean, #Greek, #Hebrew, #Turkish and #English… Premieres tomorrow on #Amazon”.
The quirky comedy will see Khurrana sharing screen space with the megastar for the first time. The film was slated to hit the screens on April 17 but was deferred because of coronavirus crisis and will now release directly on Amazon Prime Video tomorrow.
Apart from Gulabo Sitabo, Amazon Prime India has also lined-up Shakuntala Devi for digital release.
Shakuntala Devi, the upcoming biographical film directed and written by Anu Menon stars Vidya Balan as Shakuntala Devi, along with Jisshu Sengupta, Sanya Malhotra and Amit Sadh. The film will stream worldwide on Prime Video.
