Veteran actor Raza Murad fondly remembers late actor Irrfan Khan, said he was a well cultured man and a rare actor.
Actor Irrfan Khan, who passed away in a Mumbai hospital earlier this week after being diagnosed with a Neuro-Endocrine Tumour.
Talking about Irrhan Khan’s demise, actor Raza Murad said, “This is not only the loss for the film industry but it is a big loss for his fans not only in India but all over the world. He was an internationally acclaimed actor. He not only did Bollywood films but also many Hollywood films. He gained a lot of name and fame and not only this he also earned a lot of respect and all this he gained with his sheer talent. There are many actors in our country but what understanding Irrfan had of the art is not present in anyone else. The ease with which he used to act, the naturalness, the way he used his eyes, we do not have many actors like him”
“This is not the age to go, he was just 53, but this circle of life and death is not in our hands. Sridevi also died at the age of 53. Whatever life Irrfan lived, he lived a big life, earned a lot of name, fame and respect both at the national and international levels. There have been millions of actors but Actors like Irrfan are rare who had such deep understanding of their art and work” added Raza.
Sharing his memories with Irrfan Khan, actor Raza said, “He used to respect me a lot. I am much senior to him age wise as well as in the industry. He never used to talk openly with me. He always had his eyes down while talking to me like a well cultured man. He used to respect me a lot. Because I was senior to him, he used to hesitate to talk to me. Like we are taught at home to give respect to our elders, he used to give me that respect”
Further adding, Padmaavat actor Raza said his favourite film of Irrfan Khan has been Paan Singh Tomar.
He said, “Paan Singh Tomar. It is one of my favourite films. He not only played that role but lived that role.”
