Karan Johar gearing up for the release of Student of the Year 2 announced he will be releasing the film very first song tomorrow.
The song is said to feature a new rendition of the iconic song, Gili Gili Akkha. Sharing the news Karan tweeted, “Bringing the “Gili Gili Akkha” back with the new students! The filmmaker shared a video with the tweet featuring the lead team, Ananya Pandey, Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria. All three looked excited to release the new song called as The Jawani Song. They can be seen grooving to the original at first.
Earlier the makers also shared a video with the lead cast, as they thanks fans for the love and support after the trailer release. In the video, all three are talking about their best moments in the trailer, favorite fan comments and how much they love the memes.
The film is helmed by ‘I hate Love Stories’ director Punit Malhotra and is the second installment of the Alia, Varun and Sidharth Malhotra starrer 2012 release, ‘SOTY’. The film was directed by Karan himself and introduced three most bankable stars today.
The second installment of the series will introduce two debutants Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria who have managed to bag more projects before their debut on the big screen. The film is set to release on 10th May 2019.
