Yet, things took a terrible turn as of late when a man strolled up to Vidya at the Kolkata Airport.
A couple days prior, Vidya was in Kolkata with her Begum Jaan maker Mahesh Bhatt and executive Srijit Mukherj and the trio were strolling into the air terminal when the man moved toward her and inquired as to whether he could click a selfie with her.
When Vidya said ‘Yes’, the man quickly put his arm around her.
Vidya was stunned and instantly let him know “Don’t”. In any case, he didn’t give up and kept clutching Vidya and soon thereafter her chief ventured in and let him know, ‘Kindly, don’t do that.’
He expelled his hand and held out his telephone yet when Vidya turned her face toward the camera for the third time, she again felt a hand on her back.
What’s more, with that, the typically mild-mannered Vidya lost her cool.
She pivoted and shouted, “What do you think you are doing? This isn’t right.”
The man still had the cheek to ask: ‘Would I be able to have a selfie?’
Vidya berated him in a boisterous voice, ‘No you can’t, stay in line!”
Vidya left the scene. Bhatt was startled yet cheerful to see that Vidya gave it back to the wrongdoer.
Understanding that Vidya’s caution could assemble a group, the man beat a hurried withdraw.
We addressed Vidya about the occurrence and the outrage was obvious in her voice when she stated, “When a more bizarre puts an arm around you, be it a man or a lady you get awkward in light of the fact that they are interfering into your own space.”
