On what could be touted as the most ambitious Bollywood movie for National Film Award-winning performing actor Kangana Ranaut, Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi great work to look out for in 2019. Kangana played as brave fighter and ruler Rani Laxmibai, who has stepped her mark in the history books for her courage, boldness and fearlessness. There is no one else we could see play the role of such as iconic figure and by the looks of the trailor, which just came out, we can bear witness to the way that we were correct.
Along with Kangana, the film other stars includes Ankita Lokhande, who is going to make her big Bollywood debut Manikarnika and will be playing the role of Jhalkaribai. While Sonu Sood was at first a part of the film, due to delays in shooting and conflicting dates with Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, Sonu backed out from the project. Manikarna was facing some problems by delays in release dates, directing credits and walking out by actors, but finally the project is out by its trailor.
With a strong narration by the one and only Amitabh Bachchan, we are shown the great courage, strong and love of Rani Laxmibai for her country and how she is ready to even give up her own life for her motherland.With Kangana as a lead actor we can see anger and fight for freedom on her face which she had carried beautifully and ofcource the credit for the action sequences goes to the Hollywood action choreographer Nick Powell..
After watching the Trailor of Manikarna, one will definitely say that Kangana had done justice with the character of Rani Laxmi Bai.
