Ekta Kapoor, who celebrates her 42th Birthday in style by announcing a whole new show, titled M.O.M – Mission Over Mars, starring Sakshi Tanwar, Mona Singh, Nidhi Singh and Palomi Ghosh, says the story is part real and part fiction to keep the secrecy demanded by ISRO.
Ekta Kapoor took to her social media profile and confirmed the show by sharing its first look poster. She also wrote a heartfelt note as well, which read, “Today on my birthday we launch the poster of our new show that we decided to make 2.5 years ago when I chanced upon this amazing story about women in Indian science”
“The show is on the women who sent the mission on mars – partly fictional keeping in mind the sacrosanct nature of ISRO. This is by far one of the most inspirational stories I have ever heard. After millions of meeting with ISRO and a certain amount of sacrosanct secrecy that they would like us to maintain we are proud to present this part fiction part real story that is based on the humongous achievement all the women behind Indian science. This show is our tribute to unsung heroes. MOM – The story of four scientists, who take up the extraordinary challenge to successfully complete India’s first mission to mars”
“Overwhelmed to introduce this campaign and our 4 eclectic actors who will represent the 4 Indian women scientist” read the statement.
The show will be streamed on her digital platform, ALT Balaji, the series is based on ISRO’s (Indian Space Research Organisation) 2014 Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) and the four women behind it. It focuses on how they overcome all obstacles, both social and scientific, making India proud.
Mona Singh will the character name Moshmi, a scientist. Actor Sakshi Tanwar will be seen playing Mission Coordinator names Nandita Hariprasad.
