After their first track Baarish hit the correct notes with the fans, the producers of Half Girlfriend are out with the second tune from the collection Phir Bhi Tumko Chahunga. The sentimental track is a profound interpretation and rotates around the romantic tale between Madhav Jha (Arjun Kapoor) and Riya Somani (Shraddha Kapoor).
Sung in the heartfelt voice of Arijit Singh, Phir Bhi Tumko Chahunga has sentiment composed on top of it. The tune delightfully puts over the sentiment unqualified love.
It is interestingly that Arjun and Shraddha have been reserved in together for a film, and passing by the trailer and tunes, it appears the two will make a decent match in the film.
Half Girlfriend is the film adjustment of Chetan Bhagat’s eponymous novel. The film rotates around a Bihari fellow who becomes hopelessly enamored with a rich Delhi young lady.
In a prior meeting to IANS, Arjun had said that Half Girlfriend is no silly lighthearted comedy. “There is sentiment and dramatization in Half Girlfriend. It’s not only a pointless romantic comedy (rom-com). It’s a dramatization. That film has a voyage. It’s a sentimental excursion and for me that is extremely energizing,” he said.
Coordinated by Mohit Suri, the film will hit the screens on May 19.
