The Central Board of Film Certification has cleared biopic PM Narendra Modi for release with a U certification.
Filmmaker Omung Kumar retweeted, a censor board news and acknowledged it as true. The tweet read, ” #CensorNews: #PMNarendraModi certified U by Indian censors #CBFC on 9 April 2019. Approved run time: 130 min, 53 sec [2 hours, 10 minutes, 53 seconds]. #India ”
The film that will traverse the journey of Narendra Modi from his humble beginnings as chai walla to becoming the Prime Minister of India is set to release on 11th April.
After the film could not be released on 5th April its original release date, due to lack for certification and makers being dragged to court, the makers has finally received a moment of relief with the superme court judgment in their favor.
Earlier the lead actor Vivek Oberoi celebrating took to his twitter and shared, “With all your blessings, support and love, today we have won in the Honorable Supreme Court! A humble thank you to all of you and to the Indian judiciary for upholding our faith in democracy! Thursday 11th April. Jai Hind #PMNarendraModiWins”
Produced by Suresh Oberoi and Anand Pandit, the biopic is directed by Omung Kumar who has brought a hit release like Mary Kom.
