Filmmakers Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar are all set to direct ‘Ramayana’, a live-action trilogy in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The movie will be released in three parts and shot in 3D.
The trilogy film will be produced by Madhu Mantena, Allu Aravind and Namit Malhotra.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the deeds on the film. He wrote, “BIGGG NEWS… Producers Allu Aravind, Madhu Mantena and Namit Malhotra [Prime Focus] to make #Ramayana for the big screen… Nitesh Tiwari [#Dangal] and Ravi Udyawar [#Mom] will direct the three-part series… Will be shot in 3D and released in #Hindi, #Tamil and #Telugu”

‘Ramayana’ will be made with actors from Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati and Punjabi films as the makers are targeting pan-India as well as the global audience. The team has yet to take a call on the filming and the release plan, but they are hoping to kick off next year and are targeting a 2021 release for Part 1, promising that there won’t be too long a gap between other two instalments.
Apart from Ramayana, filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari is also busy with Chhichhore, which is a romantic comedy-drama film produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
The film starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Prateik Babbar, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Nalneesh Neel, follows the life of seven friends from 1992 to the present day. The film is scheduled for release on 30 August 2019.
