Raveena Tandon thanks the medical fraternity for their support, Urges people to respect and thank them.

Amidst fighting the deadly corona virus, our country is also fighting another battle of safeguarding the doctors and nurses from the attacks of the common people. In such a scenario, actress Raveena Tandon has shared a video thanking the medical fraternity and has urged people to protect them.

The Mast Mast girl shared a video on her instagram and wrote, “#jeetegaindia #jeetengehum #thankyou #medicalcommunity…I nominate @sonu_sood @theshilpasheety @thejohnabraham Friends, as we come together to fight the challenges posed by the Coronavirus Pandemic, I would like you to think of all those doctors, nurses and health workers, quietly working with diligence and dignity, away from their homes and families, so that our present and future remains secure. Lately we have all heard unfortunate reports of our healthcare workers being harassed and attacked. This is a tragic happening we must all confront together. Please do not fall prey to fake news and false rumours, which may fuel violence against our medical community. The least we can do is to protect those who are doing everything to keep us safe and the one thing we owe them is a debt of gratitude. Thank you and stay safe!”

Every other day, reports of our frontline workers being attacked are being reported in various parts of the country.

Recently Akshay Kumar released a reprised version of his song ‘Teri Mitti’ from the film Kesari as a tribute to all the health workers of the country. The song shows the glimpses of our doctors and nurses working day and night selflessly treating the patients.

Indian Govenment has also okayed the ordinance to protect the frontline workers. According to this, violence and harassment against healthcare workers deployed in combating Covid 19 has been made a non bailable offence. The offence will attract a maximum punishment of seven years imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 5 lakh.
