Salman Khan and Mammootty mourns Irrfan Khan’s Demise

Actor Irrfan Khan has died at the age of 54, after being admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on Tuesday, where was under observation for colon infection. The actor in 2018 had announced that he’d been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour.

Big superstar such as Salman Khan, Mamootty among many others took to their social media profiles and mourned the demise of veteran actor.

Superstar Salman Khan wrote, “Big loss to the film industry, his fans, all of us n specially his family. My heart goes out to his family. May God give them strength…Rest in peace brother u shall always be missed n be in all our hearts…”

Malayalam superstar Mammootty shared, “A sad and huge loss to our film fraternity. A great and natural actor who was loved by audiences across the world. I had the pleasure of sharing a stage with him for an event and I remember the conversations and warmth we shared. RIP Irrfan”

Irrfan’s career spanned several decades and industries. Acclaimed for his roles in Indian cinema, the actor was also involved in several international blockbusters such as Slumdog Millionaire, Jurassic World, The Amazing Spider-Man and Life of Pi.

His most famous films include his debut, the Academy Award nominated Salaam Bombay!, Maqbool (2004), Paan Singh Tomar (2011), The Lunchbox (2013), Haider (2014), Gunday (2014), Piku (2015) and Talvar (2015) and Hindi Medium (2017).
