‘Sardar Udham Singh’ Post Production Starts Today, Confirms Vicky Kaushal
Actor Vicky Kaushal and Shoojit Sircar are collaborating for the biopic of Sardar Udham Singh, the shot of the film is complete but due to lockdown, the post-production of the film was stalled until now. The actor is returning to the sets with his team to complete the post-production, today.
Actor Vicky Kaushal just took to his social media profile and shared a candid BTS picture from the shoot of Udham Singh and wrote, “When nature beckoned, We listened…We switched gears, From fast forward to slow motion…Now, there is a call again, An excitement, yet a caution And a hunger to reboot, With this feeling We begin, again… #SardarUdhamSingh. Post production set to #BeginAgain, tomorrow- 8th June.”
Udham Singh is an upcoming biographical film directed by Shoojit Sircar, produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar and written by Ritesh Shah and Shubhendu Bhattacharya under the banner of Rising Sun Films, and Kino Works.
The film features Vicky Kaushal in the lead role of Udham Singh, a revolutionary freedom fighter best known for his assassination in London of Michael O’Dwyer, the former lieutenant governor of Punjab in India, on 13 March 1940, in revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar in 1919, for then which Sardar Udham Singh was subsequently tried and convicted of murder, and was hanged on 31 July 1940.
The film is scheduled for release on 15 January 2021.
