Actor Anupam Kher has completed 36 years in Bollywood and on his special day, the actor shared a special video on social media showcasing some of his finest work.
Anupam Kher made his debut with the Mahesh Bhatt-directorial Saaransh in 1984. He played a retired middle-class-teacher who loses his son. The film was a moderate box-office success though Kher’s performance earned him widespread praise. He won several awards for his debut flick, including the Filmfare Award in the best actor category.

In last 36 years, Anupam Kher has delivered some of the biggest hits of the Hindi film cinema, which include Chaalbaaz, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayaenge, Daddy, Karma, Darr, A Wednesday, Tezaab, Ram Lakhan, Lamhe, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and many more.
Kher, the recipient of two National Film Awards, has appeared in over 500 films in several languages and many plays. He is known internationally for Bend It Like Beckham, Bride and Prejudice, Silver Linings Playbook and more.
He has held the post of chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and the National School of Drama (NSD) in India. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri in 2004 and the Padma Bhushan in 2016 for his contribution in the field of cinema and arts.
