​Bollywood Praises Ayushmann Khurrana for ‘Article 15’

The early reactions for Article 15 are out! And the film is a winner as B-Town has been posting big praises for the film on the social media.
The maker of the film organized special screening of the film last night in Mumbai and now the celebrities are singing praises for Ayushmann Khurrana and Anubhav Sinha for tackling such a sensitive issue.
Article 15 focuses on discrimination on the basis of caste, religion and sex, which is prohibited under Article 15 of the Indian Constitution.
B-Town celebrities such as Angad Bedi, newbie Abhimanyu Dassani, Swara Bhasker and more praise the film.
Actor Angad Bedi wrote, “‏A powerful film with a powerful force @ayushmannk and a powerful filmmaker @anubhavsinha #article15 is a must watch. A very hard hitting and gripping film with pitch perfect performances from the entire cast of @sayanigupta #KumudMishra #ManojPahwa #IshaTalwar”

The film also stars Manoj Pahwa, Nasser, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. The film is slated on 28th June 2019.

‘Article 15’ makers Ayushmaan Khurrana and Anubhav Sinha continue to receive death threats

Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Article 15 has not just got the audience curious but also raised a lot of questions and some have led to death threats for the makers. Embroiled in a controversy the film will depict a story inspired by true events.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha the trailer shows Ayushmann Khurrana as a cop who is investigating the killing of two girls. However, the markers have been accused by a religious body of portraying Brahmins in a negative light. Article 15 is said to have been inspired by the 2014 Badaun (Uttar Pradesh) rape case in which two teenage girls were found hanging from a tree that made it to the international headlines.

While Parshuram Sena has voiced its displeasure and concern that the film defames the community, the director and actor have been receiving death threats on social media. There are also reports that Brahmin groups and Karni Sena will assemble outside their properties to protest against the screening of Article 15. To find aid in matter multiplex owners have head to local authorities for help with additional security in wake of the threats.

Anubhav Sinha who previously directed Mulk has been addressing sensitive subjects through his movies. The film aims to start a conversation as most Khurrana movies successfully do. Article 15 will release on 28th June 2019.

Brahmin Maha Sangh issues a Warning to filmmaker Anubhav Sinha

Anubhav Sinha directorial Article 15, which talks about caste discrimination in India, is facing backlashes from Karni Sena and Brahmin Maha Sangh, who has issued a warning to the filmmaker for causing “communal disharmony”.
Karni Sena and Brahmin Maha Sangh leaders hosted a press conference here in Mumbai to issue a 48 hours ultimatum to the filmmaker before they do the unthinkable.

During the press conference Pankaj Joshi, chairman of Brahmin Mana Sangh said, “I am warning filmmaker Anubhav Sinha that this film should be banned and Brahmins name should be removed within 48 hours, or else we will enter his office and whatever happens next, is not our responsibility”
The fringe group Karni Sena and religious group Brahmin Maha Sangh have joined forces to ban the film as it shows Brahmin’s in bad light.

Further adding, Pankaj said, “I am hosting this press conference today because there is this film, Article 15, which is releasing on 28th June 2019. This film is based on a rape case which took place in Uttar Pradesh, directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Zee Films”
“Now our objection is this, the people who committed his crime and the people with whom this crime took place, are from the same community, they are OBC, not Brahmins. They have insulted us by using our community’s name. We Brahmins perform rituals, pooja and other things related to temple and they are showing us in bad light”

“If you have the freedom of expression, then show the real community and people from the communities who committed the crime. Why are Brahmins dragged into all this?”
Further adding, he said, “After media, Indian cinema is a powerful medium, whatever you show, it remain with people forever. They are trying to cause communal disharmony. And to make matter worse, the makers have shown that the victim in this film belongs to lower caste, which is not true, they are OBC. So they are degrading lower caste people as well, they are causing communal disharmony. They are trying to break Hindu Society. We have had problems with other caste and communities and the makers of the film are trying to re-ignite the hate among us”
The film is written by Gaurav Solanki and Anubhav Sinha. It stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Manoj Pahwa.

Article 15 takes inspiration from true life events, including 2014 Badaun gang rape allegations and 2016 Una flogging incident. It is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on 28 June.

Ayushmann Khurrana unveils Intezari from Article 15

Ayushmann Khurrana and Isha Talwar-starrer ‘Article 15’ delivers yet another soul-stirring and melodious romantic track titled ‘Intezari’ in the mesmerizing voice of Armaan Malik.
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana dropped the song on his timeline. The soulful song gives an insight into the journey of the lead pair, especially highlighting the duration where the couple recalls the time they spent together.
The song is penned by Shakeel Azmi, the song has been crooned by Armaan Malik. It has been composed by Anurag Saikia.
Anubhav Sinha directorial is based on the socio-political situation of India, the lives of police officers are followed. In a country where discrimination is everywhere, whether related to race or caste, the officers embark on a journey of acceptance and change.
The trailer of the film, which was released some time back, narrates the hard-hitting tale of honour killing and feckless attitude of the police in dealing with the matter.
The movie also stars a stellar ensemble of Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Naser, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat, and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub.
The film, produced by Benaras Media Works, is slated to hit the theatres on June 28.

Check Out Ayushmann Khurrana And Isha Talwar in Naina Yeh from Article 15

After the anthem Shuru Karein Kya, the makers of Article 15 are out the second track, Naina Yeh, which is soft and melting retro romantic track, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Isha Talwar.
The official handle of Zee Music Company dropped the second track from the intense social drama on social media. They captioned it, “When eyes do the talking…Presenting #NainaYeh, a beautiful and romantic number from #Article15…@ayushmannk #IshaTalwar @anubhavsinha #Piyushshankar @yasserdesai #AakankshaSharma  @ZeeStudios_ @ZeeMusicCompany #BenarasMediaWorks”
The song is crooned by Yasser Desai and Aakansha Sharma with Piyush Shankar’s music composition. The lyrics have been written by Rashmi Virag. The lyrics and music have a soulful vibe and the song has also been choreographed to give it a retro feeling. The actors make very restrained, shy moves in the song. The video shows Ayushmann and Isha in wheat fields, at an old fort and in a boat.
The film is helmed by Anubhav Sinha, the social drama is based on the theme of social discrimination on the basis of caste, religion and sex which is prohibited under Article 15 of the Constitution. It is based on the heinous Badaun rape incident where two teenage girls were gang-raped and murdered.
The film also stars Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub.
It has been Produced by Anubhav Sinha and Zee Studios, Article 15 is slated to release on June 28.

Ayushmann Khurrana Drops Shuru Karein Kya from Article 15

After dropping a though provoking trailer, actor Ayushmann Khurrana drops the teaser of first song, Shuru Karien Kya from forthcoming intense social drama Article 15.
The actor dropped the song on his social media handle, Ayushmaan captioned it, “Farq laana hai toh.. kaam #ShuruKareinKya? The teaser of the first song of Ayushmann Khuranna’s Article 15, Shuru Karein Kya is a much-needed call to action for the citizens of the country. It asks citizens to ensure that justice prevails.
The new age anthem is crooned by Slow Cheetah, Dee MC, Kaam Bhaari and Spit Fire, the team has also penned the song. Devin ‘DLP’ Parker and Gingger have composed the song.
The video opens with three dead bodies hanging from a tree and proceeds to Ayushmann demanding from the officers in his team why they have not taken any action in the case.
Article 15 also features Isha Talwar, Manoj Pahwa, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, M Naser, Ashish Verma, Sushil Pandey, Subrajyoti Bharat and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub.
Ayushmann plays a police officer for the first time in the film that is slated to hit theatres on June 28.
