Guneet Monga Tested Positive For COVID-19 Under Self-Quarantine

Filmmaker and producer Guneet Monga took to her social media profile and informed that she has tested positive for COVID-19 and will remain under home quarantine.

She issued a press statement, which read, “Dear All. Despite taking due care and all the necessary precautions, I have tested positive for Covid-19. I am under self-quarantine and taking all the measures to combat the virus with the guidance of my doctor. I am now recovering well. It’s a sincere and an urgent request for whoever has come in contact with me recently to kindly get themselves tested. Please take care and stay safe! Guneet Monga” read the full note.

The second wave of coronavirus has infected many people, and the number of COVID-19 positive cases has been rapidly rising. In Bollywood, an array of celebrities has got infected within a span of a few weeks.

Monga served as an Executive Producer on Period. End of Sentence. which won the 2019 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Subject. She was voted as one of the top 12 women achievers in the Global Entertainment industry by The Hollywood Reporter and among the top 50 Indians changing India by India Today.

Guneet Monga under her home-banner Sikhya Entertainment, has released movies like Dasvidaniya, That Girl in Yellow Boots, The Lunchbox and Masaan.

ABP Majha and UNICEF initiate innovative donation drive to support families affected by COVID-19

Mumbai, 13th August, 2020: In the light of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival, the ongoing pandemic and related movement restrictions, the Marathi news channel ABP Majha launched a special donation drive initiative today– ‘Be a Vighnaharta’ (Be a Remover of Obstacles).

The initiative, in collaboration with UNICEF, will raise funds through a 16-day TV campaign to support the people affected by the pandemic. The funds raised will be used to support vulnerable families, through UNICEF’s Jeevan Rath initiative (A Relief and Response on Wheels) in the state of Maharashtra. The initiative will bring over 60 public and private NGOs together, to provide supplies of dry ration kits, hygiene kits, conditional cash transfers, and livelihood protection to people who are unable to afford or access these supplies in sufficient quantities.

To contain the pandemic in Maharashtra, all pandals/temples have been advised to maintain social distancing norms, hold limited congregations, and reduce the size of the idols, during the 11-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival. While these measures are critical from a public health perspective, this has ripple effects on the earnings of the craftsmen and other associated small businesses who depend on the annual festival for their livelihood.

ABP Majha will run the campaign from 6th August 2020 to 21st August 2020. The news channel will broadcast 1,350+ minutes of content including stories of people affected by the pandemic, urging viewers to donate and help reach supplies to families affected by the pandemic.

ABP Majha has been bringing the essence of ‘Ganesh Utsav’ on TV, since 2010, with on-air and on-ground coverage on its show ‘Bappa Majha’. After Amitabh And Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya And Aaradhya Tested COVID-19 Positive

2020 has been the most distressing and heartbreaking year, with Covid pandemic things are just way out of everyone’s control. India is racking up more new reported infections each day, but nobody thought that Bollywood’s high profile Bachchan family will get infected with the novel corona-virus.

First, it was Amitabh and Abhishek who tested COVID-19 positive and now it’s Aishwarya and Aaradhya.

Big B and Junior B due to mild symptoms are hospitalized at Nanavati hospital. But as Aishwarya and Aaradhya are both asymptomatic, they have self-quarantined themselves at home. In all this the lucky one to go was Jaya Bachchan, she tested negative.

Abhishek thanking his fans and confirming the health of his family, on Sunday tweeted, “Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self-quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful. The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayer,”

The rest of the Bachchan family and their staff and maids is awaiting test results. All the four bungalows owned by the Bachchan family Jalsa, Pratiksha, Janak, and Vatsa have been reportedly declared as containment zones and sealed by the BMC. Big B’s contact tracing is also being done, while the staff at their bungalow are being screened for Covid-19.

Since the news had spread like fire, fans are praying and wishing for the speedy recovery of Bachchan’s family.

Anupam Kher’s Family Tested Positive For Covid-19

Actor Anupam Kher revealed that his mother Dulari, brother Raju and other family members have tested positive for Covid-19, whereas, he tested negative.

Anupam took to his social media profile and dropped a video, where he talked about his mother tested “mildly positive” for COVID-19 after which they admitted her to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. His sister-in-law and niece also tested “positive” for the virus.

The tweeted read, “This is to inform all that my mother Dulari is found COVID-19 positive (mildly). We have admitted her into Kokilaben Hospital. My brother, bhabhi and niece, in spite of being careful, have also tested mildly positive. I got myself tested as well and I have tested negative. The BMC is informed”

In the video, he talked about his mother wasn’t eating for the last few days, after which he got her blood test done. He said the reports showed nothing alarming but the doctor advised him and his brother to get her CT scan done. When they took her for CT Scan to rule out any medical issue, she was found COVID-19 positive.

Anupam Kher’s tweet arrived a day after Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan tested positive for COVID-19. The duo are currently admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital.

Anupam Kher is best-known for his performances in films such as Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara and Special 26, to name a few. He was last seen in the 2019 crime-thriller One Day: Justice Delivered in which he co-starred with Esha Gupta, Kumud Mishra and Anusmriti Sarkar.

On Saturday when the news of Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan of getting COVID-19 spread out, a loud alarm bell rang across the country. Amitabh Bachchan who is loved by millions due to mild symptoms is admitted at Nanavati Hospital. His son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter too got infected. Their fans including celebrities wished for their speedy recovery on their social media handle.

The ’Badla’ star to express his gratitude on the same took to his Instagram handle and thanked all.

After superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday night, rumours began spreading that Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and filmmaker Karan Johar have also contracted the virus after partying with Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda at Neetu Kapoor’s birthday celebrations.

Riddhima, shared a screenshot of a tweet spreading the rumour, she wrote, “Attention seeking? At least verify/clarify! We are fit. We are good! Stop spreading rumours! #lunatics #fakenews.”

A couple of days ago, Neetu Kapoor turned 62 and the actress spent her special day with her birthday sqad – her children Ranbir and Riddhima, granddaughter Samara, sister-in-law Rima Jain, niece Nitasha Nanda and Agastya Nanda – grandson of Neetu Kapoor’s late sister-in-law Ritu Nanda.

Aamir Khan Staff Tested Covid-19 Positive

Corona-virus Pandemic has made everybody’s life upside down. It seems that Mother Nature is still in a rage. Earlier it was reported that Boney Kapoor’s house staff had tested positive now, its Aamir Khan staff who have been tested positive.

The ‘Sarfarosh’ actor took to his Instagram handle and shared the statement on the same. In his note, he mentioned that few of his staff has been tested positive, but he and the rest of them are negative. He also expressed his gratitude to BMC officials for their prompt and caring manner.

The Instagram feed of Aamir Khan read, “Some of my staff have tested positive. They were immediately quarantined, and BMC officials were very prompt and efficient in taking them to a medical facility. I would like to thank the BMC for taking such good care of them, and for fumigating and sterilizing the entire society.” The rest of us have all been tested and found negative. Right now I am taking my mother to get her tested. She is the last person in the loop. Please pray that she is negative. I would, once again, like to thank the BMC for the prompt, professional, and caring manner in which they helped us.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Upcoming Project, Aamir will be seen in the movie ‘Laal Singh Chadhha’. It is a comedy-drama film directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. It is loosely adapted from the American Forrest Gump (1994) and traces historical things that were present in the former.

The film stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Vijay Sethupathi. It is scheduled to release on 25 December 2020.

And many people from different states are reaching also to their destination. But recently I have noticed that there are many people who are charging money on the name of permit and tickets”

“The only message I want to give to the migrants is that our service is totally free. And if anyone asks even a rupee on the name of permit or tickets, please report it to the nearest police station and do inform our team also. We too have caught hold of such frauds and are searching more. So please don’t come into talks of such hoaxes and don’t give a penny to them. Apart from these people who are asking for money, I request them not to do so. Because these migrants are quite a distress and are in difficulty. Please don’t charge them, this act is against humanity. And if these frauds will continue doing this. I and my team will take strict action against them. God bless you, Ji Hind!” says Sonu.

Adding to it Sonu captioned his post, “Come forward and help someone who needs you…It’s sad when I come across stories where people try to cheat these poor migrants by giving them false hopes. Kindly report to nearest police station as soon as you come across such frauds”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sonu Sood will be seen in crime drama film ‘Mumbai Saga’, directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by T-Series. It is a gangster drama and stars an ensemble cast of John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Pankaj Tripathi, Rohit Roy, Amole Gupte, Samir Soni, Gulshan Grover, and Sharman Joshi. It was slated to release on 19 June 2020. But due to coronavirus pandemic dates are still not finalized.

She will also portray the Mughal princess Jahanara Begum in Karan Johar’s directorial venture Takht, a historical drama featuring an ensemble cast, including Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt.

Saroj Khan Tested Negative For Covid-19

Bollywood veteran Choreographer Saroj Khan has tested negative for Covid-19, post her hospitalisation due to breathing issue.

Choreographer Saroj Khan was hospitalised after she complained of breathing issues. She was rushed to Guru Nanak Hospital in Mumbai’s Bandra on Saturday, now her condition is stable. Following the hospitalization, a corona-virus test was done, the result of which was negative.

According to reports, she is fine and recovering. She was rushed due to hospital due to shortness of breath. Her COVID-19 test was done which turned out negative. She doesn’t have any symptoms. She will be discharged within couple of days.

Saroj Khan has choreographed super hits songs for Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit and a lot more. In a career spanning over four decades, the three-time National Award winner has also choreographed songs such as ‘Dola Re Dola’ (‘Devdas’), ‘Ye Ishq Haaye’ (‘Jab We Met’) and tracks from ‘Manikarnika’  and ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’.

Her last project was also with Madhuri for ‘Tabaah Hogaye’ from ‘Kalank’.
