21 Million Hits And Support From Fraternity, Dil Bechara Trailer Goes Viral

The trailer of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’ was released yesterday and it went viral. The trailer didn’t just receive a massive 21 million hits but got massive support and love from fraternity.

Bollywood celebrities such as Mrunal Thakur, Farhan Akhtar, Bhumi Pednekar, Kriti Sanon and more shared and praised the trailer on social media.

Farhan Akhtar took to his social media profile and wrote, “Just watched #DilBecharaTrailer…it does, of course, remind us that we have lost a talented actor way too soon but it also brings a smile to the face with it’s charming, bittersweet feel …my best wishes to @CastingChhabra and the team. Look forward to it”

Actress Bhumi Pednekar who worked with Sushant in Sonchiriya, wrote, “#DilBechara Overwhelmed with millions of emotions…Can’t wait you watch it”

Sushant’s close friend and hid ‘Raabta’ co-star Kriti Sanon, on the other hand, said that it will be hard for her to watch the film but she will not miss it. She shared, “#DilBechara Its gonna be really hard to watch this one.. but how can I not?”

Dil Bechara is a coming-of-age romantic drama film which is the directorial debut of Mukesh Chhabra. Based on John Green’s 2012 novel The Fault in Our Stars, it stars Sushant Singh Rajput, Saif Ali Khan and debutante Sanjana Sanghi.

The film’s release has been postponed multiple times, due to post-production delays and then again due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. It will release on 24 July 2020 on Disney+ Hotstar.

Kartik Aaryan Pays Homage To Galwan Valley Brave Hearts

Heartthrob Kartik Aaryan pays homage to the brave hearts killed during the violent face-off with the Chinese troops in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley.

The ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’ actor took to his social media handle to pay tributes to Army personnel who gave the utmost sacrifice for our nation.

Kartik posted a picture of the Indian flag and wrote, “They do it for all of us. A big salute to all the brave men who show us what real sacrifice means. Thank you for protecting us. May the families of martyred heroes be blessed with immense strength. Jai Hind Jai Jawan”

Earlier a host of B-town celebs including Anushka Sharma, Varun Dhawan, Ajay Devgn, Farhan Akhtar, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and others paid their respect and added that they will be forever indebted to our heroes’ ultimate sacrifice.

The violent clash started on late evening and night of June 15 in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley as a result of an attempt by the Chinese troops to unilaterally change the status quo during de-escalation in Eastern Ladakh and the situation could have been avoided if the agreement at the higher level been scrupulously followed by the Chinese side, India had said on Tuesday.

Twenty Indian soldiers were killed in the violent face-off with Chinese troops in eastern Ladakh’s Galwan Valley on Monday. Indian intercepts revealed that the Chinese side suffered 43 casualties including dead and seriously injured in the violent clash

Farhan Akhtar celebrates 16 years of release of ‘Lakshya’

Farhan Akhtar as a director has given us some memorable movies. Be it ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Lakshya’ or two parts of ‘Don’, each of his film was loved by the audience. Today his highly acclaimed movie ‘Lakshya’ completes 16 years of its release and the actor remembers the film with a special post.

The ‘Rock On’ actor shared a tweet , “Kandhe Se Milte Hain Kandhe, Kadamo Se Kadam milte Hai, Hum Chalte Hain Jab Aise Toh Dil Dushman Ke Hilte Hai – 16 years of Lakshya… an experience that’s much more than a film to me and all who created it. Respect & gratitude to the Indian Army for their inspiration and their support.”

‘Lakshya’ starring Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta and Amitabh Bachchan is a war drama film which revolves around the life of Karan Shergill, who develops from an aimless young man  into an army officer.  The film is a special ode to our Indian Army and many actual Indian Army officers also participated in the movie.

The film was released on 18th June 2004. Over the years, the film has been regarded as the cult film and is considered to be Hrithik’s one of the best performance till date.

Meanwhile, on the workfront, Farhan  was last seen in the movie ‘The Sky Is Pink’ . He will next be seen in the film ‘Toofan’ directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The film will feature Farhan playing the role of a National Level Boxer.

The film is scheduled to be released on 18 September, 2020. Film stars Paresh Rawal, Mrunal Thakur and Isha Talwar in supporting roles.

Bollywood Stands With Indian Army Martyrs’ In The Galwan Valley

A violent face off between India and China at Ladakh’s Galwan Valley on June 15 has left the whole country angry. At least 20 army personnel have been killed in a clash with Chinese troops. This is one of the biggest military confrontations in over five decades between the two countries.

Bollywood celebs such as Ajay Devgn, Farhan Akhtar, Sidharth Malhotra, Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood and more took to their social media accounts to pay their condolence to the martyrs’ families.

Ajay Devgn tweeted, “Salute every soldier who laid down his life protecting India’s border & honour. Jai Jawan, Jai Bharat. RIP Brave Hearts. My thoughts are with your families during this hour. #GalwanValley #IndianArmy”.

Farhan Akhtar took to twitter and wrote, “Salute the martyrs for their courage and for the ultimate sacrifice in defending our borders. Deepest condolences to the families. #IndianArmy #Respect.”

Sidharth Malhotra wrote, “Mourning the death of our brave hearts martyred on our borders, we are forever indebted to them for their ultimate sacrifice, salute to them and my condolence to their families. #IndianArmy #GalwanValley #Jai Hind.”

Akshay Kumar tweeted, “Deeply saddened by the death of our bravehearts in #GalwanValley. We will forever be indebted to them for their invaluable service to the nation. My heartfelt condolences to their families.”

Sonu Sood shared, “Santosh Babu,, you will remain in our hearts forever. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten. We salute you and your family for what you did for our nation. #Galwan Valley”

Shekhar Kapur And Farhan Akhtar Say Goodbye To Sushant Singh Rajput

For the world is still difficult to accept that actor Sushant Singh Rajput is no more. The entire nation is still in state of shock. Bollywood has lost his gem and a star. It’s no secret that Sushant was going through very tough times and was depressed from last six months. No one in the industry stood up for him nor did they lend a helping hand. Shekar Kapur revealing on the same tweeted that the ‘Kai Poche’ actor was in drastic pain and was let down by many big Celebes in Bollywood.

Shekar Kapur tweet read, “I knew the pain you were going through. I knew the story of the people that let you down so bad that you would weep on my shoulder. I wish I was around the last 6 months. I wish you had reached out to me. What happened to you was their Karma. Not yours. #SushantSinghRajput”

Farhan Akhtar too penned down a heartfelt poem paying a tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The poem written by Farhan describes the pain Sushant was going through. He wrote sleep brother sleep into a deep sleep, and let this fake world shed tears and yell.

Farhan wrote, ”Sleep my brother sleep, let the vultures gather, and the crocodiles weep, let the circus performers, juggle, contort, bow and leap, let the shrill get higher, let the darkness, in the heart of men get deep, Sleep my brother, Sleep. RIP Sushant.”

Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden demise left his fans and colleagues in shock. The actor was reportedly found hanging in his Mumbai apartment. However, no suicide note was found in the house. The post-mortem report has proved that it is death due to suicide.

Farhan Akhtar Drops Funky Version of ‘Dil Chahta Hai’

The movie ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ is one of the cult classic film of Bollywood and its song Dil Chahta Hai till date remains one of the best anthem song of friendship. The song was released in 2001 and 20 years from then it still sounds fresh and full of liveliness. Farhan Akhtar has now shared a funky version of the song created by the Indian Ensemble at Berklee College of Music ft. Shankar Mahadevan to support the Indian musicians and singers in these challenging times.

The song starts with Aamir Khan who claims Dil Chahta Hai to be one of his favourite song till date. He wishes that the people suffering during these tough times should be relieved soon.

A total of 112 musicians, actors, industry leaders and Berklee students across 21 countries came together for this and have tried to send messages of hope and positivity to everyone through the song. Each one of them has showed his/her ‘DIL CHAHTA HAI’ moment.

The song has been presented by Berklee India Exchange and T Series. It is an initiative to support the marginalised Indian artists whose lives have been deeply affected due to Corona. Indian artists from folk musicians to instrument makers, everyone’s life has come to a standstill due to the lockdown. T Series will donate all the proceeds from this song for this special cause and will help support these artists in need.

Apart from Toofan, actor Farhan is gearing up for his upcoming movie, The Sky Is Pink where the actor will be sharing the screen with Priyanka Chopra after their previous movie, Dil Dhadakne Do was a blockbuster hit in the theatres.
The Sky is Pink is an upcoming biographical film directed by Shonali Bose and co-produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Ronnie Screwvala and Chopra under the banner of RSVP Movies, Roy Kapur Films and Purple Pebble Pictures. It also stars Zaira Wasim. It is based on the motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.
The film is slated to release on 11 October 2019.

Rock On 2 | Movie Review
