Farhan Akhtar as a director has given us some memorable movies. Be it ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, ‘Lakshya’ or two parts of ‘Don’, each of his film was loved by the audience. Today his highly acclaimed movie ‘Lakshya’ completes 16 years of its release and the actor remembers the film with a special post.
The ‘Rock On’ actor shared a tweet , “Kandhe Se Milte Hain Kandhe, Kadamo Se Kadam milte Hai, Hum Chalte Hain Jab Aise Toh Dil Dushman Ke Hilte Hai – 16 years of Lakshya… an experience that’s much more than a film to me and all who created it. ‘Lakshya’ starring Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta and Amitabh Bachchan is a war drama film which revolves around the life of Karan Shergill, who develops from an aimless young man into an army officer. The film is a special ode to our Indian Army and many actual Indian Army officers also participated in the movie.
The film was released on 18th June 2004. Over the years, the film has been regarded as the cult film and is considered to be Hrithik’s one of the best performance till date.
Meanwhile, on the workfront, Farhan was last seen in the movie ‘The Sky Is Pink’ . He will next be seen in the film ‘Toofan’ directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. The film will feature Farhan playing the role of a National Level Boxer.
The film is scheduled to be released on 18 September, 2020. Film stars Paresh Rawal, Mrunal Thakur and Isha Talwar in supporting roles.
