‘Aasman’ a poem penned and directed by Kangana Ranaut

Lockdown is definitely giving us time to explore our hidden talents. Some have indulged themselves into reading, while other has donned the hat of a chef. Amidst this self isolation time, Kangana Ranaut has channelled out her new talent and has written and directed a beautiful poem ‘Aasman’.

Official handle of Kangana Ranaut, shared this beautiful poem written by her and wrote, “#Aasman – A poem by Kangana Ranaut. #KanganaRanaut reveals another treasure from her innumerable talents. #AasmanbyKangana was been penned and directed by her, and is truly food for thought in these testing time.”

Kangana has also lent her voice to the poem. The poem beautifully captures the scenic locales of Manali where she is currently residing. One can also see shots of Kangana pondering and penning down her thoughts.

Kangana is currently keeping herself busy by spending quality time with her family at her Manali house. She even dedicated a poem on Mother’s Day for her mother which was again written by her.

On the work front, she will be seen in the film ‘Thalaivi’ which is a biographical film covering the life of Jayalalithaa, late politician and film actress who even served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Naidu.

The film is scheduled to be released on June 26, 2020

Kangana Ranaut Defends Her Sister Rangoli Chandel For Her Controverisal Tweet

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who beside her acting skills is also known to speak boldly, came out to support her sister Rangoli Chandel. She defended her sister for a tweet called Mullas and secular media to be shot dead. The actress completely denied the fact that her sister has commented specially on Muslim genocide. She also said that if there is any such tweets, they both are ready to apologize. She started her video by saying that the allegations made by Sussanne Khan’s sister Farah Khan Ali and director Reema Kagti are completely false.

Kangana sharing the video on her Instagram handle appealed to the Centre for a way to completely demolish social media platforms like Twitter where freedom of speech is inhibited by others. “We have to find a way to completely demolish these platforms and start our own platforms.”
Kangana also addressed the threats being meted out to wrestler-politician Babita Phogat after her recent tweets against a particular community. She expressed her concerns for Phogat’s safety and said that some security should be arranged for her by the Center.

This all started after Mumbai’s Bandra incident, where numerous people gathered despite the nation-wide lockdown.
Taking to her Twitter Rangoli wrote, “A Jamati died of Corona when police and doctors went to check their families, they were attacked and killed, secular media, make these mullahs + secular media stand in a line and shoot them dead….f****k the history they may call us nazi who cares, life is more imp than fake image”

As soon as she dropped this tweet. Twitter suspended her account. Many netizens started lashing at her and reported her tweet to the official. Among all was Sussanne Khan’s sister Farah Khan Ali, who thanked the Twitter officials for suspending her account and wrote that she reported about the tweet as Rangoli was targeting a single community and asked to shoot all of them with the liberal media.

Meanwhile on the work front, Kangana will be seen in a biographical film ‘Thalaivi’ directed by A.L. Vijay and produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh under their respective banners Vibri Media and Karma Media And Entertainment. The story is about the life of J. Jayalalithaa late politician and film actress who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.The film will be theatrically released in India on 26 June 2020. But may be due to the rising Covid-19 cases in India the directors and producers on to postpone the releases of their films.

Entertainment journalists demand public apology from Kangana over ugly spat with a reporter

The Entertainment Journalists’ Guild of India has decided to boycott Kangana Ranaut, a delegation from the group told producer Ekta Kapoor on Tuesday, two days after the actor’s spat with a PTI journalist at a promotional event. Members of the Guild also demanded a public apology from both Kapoor and Ranaut, journalists present at the meeting said.

Kapoor, who is producing Ranaut’s upcoming film ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’, agreed to issue the apology and expressed regret over Sunday’s incident, which has prompted a backlash against the star on social media, the journalists said.

“We, as a guild, have collectively decided to boycott Ms Ranaut and not give her any media coverage,” the delegation said in its letter to Kapoor, adding that the boycott will not affect the film or the rest of the cast. The journalists conveyed to the producer that they have decided to “boycott” Ranaut from future events until the actor apologises for Sunday’s incident.

The members said in the letter that Ranaut had lashed out at PTI journalist Justin Rao even before he could complete the question that he was asking at the press conference to promote the film on the pretext that he was running a “smear campaign” against her. Ranaut had also accused Rao of writing negatively about her film ‘Manikarnika’.

The journalist denied the allegations and the actor’s claim that he personally messaged her and spent three hours in her vanity van. He said he met the actor briefly for an interview and there were no personal messages.

Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel said on Twitter that the actor will not apologise. “I promise one thing that there will be no apology from Kangana,” she tweeted and described the journalists as anti-national.

‘Judgementall Hai Kya’, which also features Rajkummar Rao, is scheduled to be released on July 26.

​First Female action avatar in Bollywood ‘Kangana Ranaut’ | Dhaakad

Indian Female Action Figure is something Bollywood rarely explore, but that is about to change with Kangana Ranaut’s next titled Dhaakad, she is all set to present India’s first ever female action avatar on-screen.
Dhaakad is an action thriller, starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. The makers earlier dropped the firs look poster and deeds about the film. Now, the makers are out with second poster which shares a little sneak-peek into the premise of the film.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh dropped the deeds on the film. He tweeted, “Kangana Ranaut… New poster of #Dhaakad… Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai… Produced by Sohel Maklai… Co-produced by Qyuki Digital Media… Filming to commence early next year… #Diwali 2020 release”
The filming starts next year, Kangana Ranaut is exploring action genre with Dhaakad. Action director from Hollywood are roped in to choreograph elaborate action sequences and the film is helmed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai. The film is mounted on a large scale, is one of a kind female led action film.
The film is jointly produced by Sohel Maklai Productions and Asylum Films and co-produced by Qyuki Digital Media. The film will hit the screens on Diwali 2020.

Kangana is also prepping for her role in Panga, which is an upcoming sports comedy film directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and produced by Fox Star Studios.
It also stars Richa Chadha, Jassi Gill, Kangana, and Neena Gupta, and is about the jovial life of a kabaddi player. The film is scheduled for release on 10 January 2020.
Meanwhile, Kangana’s film Judgementall Hai Kya, starring Rajkummar Rao, will be hitting the screens on July 26.

Kangana Ranaut and media goes Head To Head at Song Launch

The trouble for Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starring Judgementall Hai Kya with release dates followed with title change and tussle with censor board and now once again the movie has landed in trouble with media.
Actress Kangana Ranaut once again has landed in the midst of a heated debate after an ugly spat with a journalist during the song launch event of her upcoming film ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’.
The cast and crew along with Kangana, Rajkummar Rao and Ekta Kapoor were present at the event last night in Mumbai, when the argument broke out.
Kangana was taking questions from the media personnel and the conversation turned into heated argument with a lot of shouting and screaming from media, presenter and actress.  Eventually the actress accused a male reported of bashing her directorial debut ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ and spreading a smear campaign.
The journalist introduced himself to ask a question, Kangana immediately accused him of bashing her film. Kangana said, “You were bashing ‘Manikarnika’. Have I done anything wrong by making a film on nationalism? You called me a jingoistic woman who is making a film on nationalism.”
However, the journalist replied that he hasn’t tweeted anything about the film and said that she cannot intimidate a journalist because she is sitting on the stage. And this led to massive outcry and heated exchange between the journalist and actress.
Judgementall Hai Kya is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms.
It will hit the screens on July 26.

​Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao swagging in ‘The Wakhra’ song

After an impressive trailer, the makers of Judgementall Hai Kya are out with the first song from the film, titled “The Wakhra Song”.
Judgementall Hai Kya stars Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. The trailer for the film is already out and sitting pretty with a massive 18 Million hits on video sharing site. Now, the first song ‘Wakhra Swag’ is also released which has further excited the fans.
The official handle of Balaji Motion Pictures dropped the song on social media. This one is re-created by Tanishk Bagchi with vocals from Navv Inder, Lisa Mishra and Raja Kumari. The original hit song was created by Badshah. The dance number features Kangana and Rajkummar in the most gothic and rocker mode. The duo is seen sporting some of the funkiest outfit and groovy moves.
Judgemental Hai Kya is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms.
It will hit the screens on July 26.

​Rangoli Chandel backs sister Kangana in feud with Journalist with proof

Kangana who is gearing up for the release on ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’ found herself in another controversy post feud with a journalist at a press meet for the film. The actress recently garnered headlines for Sunaina’s tiff with the Roshan family, the objection for release of ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ and its clash with ‘Super 30’.

The actress at the event lashed out at the journalist and claimed he is running a smear campaign against her. She refused to answer his questions and said that he uses her words and twists them to tarnish her brand. She also claimed he tweets negative things about her online, however the reported refused her remarks and asked for proof.

Post the event, Rangoli Chandel shared screen shots of the journalist tweets against Kangana Ranuat, she wrote, “Yesh dekho beshram ⁦@JustinJRao⁩ journalist ko, woh jisne tumhe aazadi di hai, usi ki khilli udao, How dare he mock Manikarnika’s name and openly lie that he never wrote anything about it, lekin Kangana ko khilli udane wali hasi kabhi nahin bhoolti….”

“.its a shame that @JustinJRao used to pretend to be her friend but when she spoke against cow slaughter and made nationalist film he did major smear campaign against her.” The series of tweets bashed the journalist for not showing support.

I felt compassionate towards my character in ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’ says Kangana Ranaut

Actress Kangana Ranaut who next will be seen in ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’, has said that she felt more compassionate towards her character in a mystery thriller film because she was also called a mad girl in real life like her character in the film.Kangana Ranaut was interacting with the media at the trailer launch of ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’ along with film’s writer Kanika Dhillon, producer Shailesh R Singh, director Prakash Kovelamudi on Tuesday in Mumbai.‘Judgemental Hai Kya’ revolves around two individuals whose lives pivot between reality and illusions.Kangana Ranaut revealed how she herself has been shamed on many occasions.Kangana said, “There was a phase in my life when people openly tried to shame me and said that I was mad, I was on medication. Even though I wasn’t, I replied to them: “so what?” I would not have felt ashamed even if I were on medication.She added, “However, when Kanika (Dhillon) narrated the script to me, I felt more compassionate towards the character because the society also calls ‘Bobby’ a mad girl. It became more relatable for me. Honestly, I am ok with things that people say.”

When asked Kangana why she chose to do ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’ even when initially she was not keen on doing a thriller.

She said, “The film is not structured only around metal illness, offering a solution at the end. A mainstream heroine is always happy and chirpy – loved by all. But we haven’t seen a girl with her own issues and on medications. A mainstream heroine who is dealing with a mental illness and trying to fight it. It is not a sob story. She is doing her business, her job and trying to see the silver lining.”

Talking about controversy surrounding the movie’s original title, ‘Mental Hai Kya’ Kangana said “Whenever anything is of Kangana Ranaut, lots of people have several problems. If we outsiders even breathe, there are people who have a problem with that. Keeping all that in mind, even we have learnt to make our way through it and ensure that no one has to face any inconvenience, even if it means that I have to face some inconvenience in return.”,

Kangana Ranaut also stated that the word ‘mental’ was banned recently. She said, “There were several cases and threats against us. The South Indian original of Salman Khan’s Kick is called Mental. But we were informed that these words were banned just a few weeks ago.”

But the actor maintained that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) was very supportive and had no issues with the film’s content.

Kangana said, “The Censor Board cooperated with us a lot. We have been given a U/A certificate. They said, ‘you’ve made a good film and we couldn’t find anything offensive in it.’ We have faith in our intentions.”

‘Judgmental Hai Kya’ is directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and produced by Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Shailesh R Singh.

It is scheduled to release on 26th July, 2019.

Kangana and Rajkummar starrer goes from ‘Mental Hai Kya’ to ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’

Actor Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao starring Mental Hai Kya gets a new name, the film is now titled ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’.
The film, directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms, will release on July 26 with some minor changes, as suggested by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Balaji Telefilms’ Official Spokesperson issued a statement, stating, “Given the sensitivity attached to the issue of mental health and our intention of not offending or hurting anyone’s sentiments, the makers have decided to change the title of the film Mental Hai Kya to ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’. Both Kangana and Rajkummar have outdone themselves in this thriller and we can’t wait for audiences to witness it on the big screen”
“CBFC has cleared the film with U/A certification with minor changes, which the makers are happy to comply with. With the CBFC clearance, the film is all set to release on July 26th”
The previous title of the film was deeply condemned by the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS) and the members of the organisation had also written a letter to CBFC seeking a change, stating they find it derogatory and demeaning to the mentally ill people.
The makers, however, denied that the film discriminates against people battling mental health. Ekta had defended the title, saying it doesn’t intend to offend or disregard anyone’s sentiments.
The movie also stars Amyra Dastur, Jimmy Sheirgill and Hrishitaa Bhatt. The screenplay was written by Kanika Dhillon. The film will be released on 26 July 2019.
