Nushrat Bharucha Confirms ‘Chhori’

Actor Nushrat Bharucha is all set to star in a horror thriller ‘Chhori’ as the actor on Thursday announced about her latest offering.

After making waves with the announcement of a multi-platform content alliance between India’s Abundantia Entertainment and Crypt TV of the USA, the companies have announced their first production together will be the feature film, Chhori.

Chhori is the Hindi remake of the hit-Marathi horror film, Lapachhapi and stars the talented and youth-favourite star Nushrat Bharucha, who recently starred in India’s Pyaar Ka Punchama series, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Dream Girl.

Bharucha took to Instagram and shared the early poster of the flick which is a Hindi remake of hit Marathi flick ‘Lapachhapi.’

“Thrilled to announce my next film, #Chhori – Something shockingly scary is coming your way! Excited to work with @abundantiaent @crypttv @ivikramix @notjackdavis and with the amazing @furia_vishal,” she wrote in the caption.

Directed by Vishal Furia, produced by Vikram Malhotra and Jack Davis, the film marks Nushrat’s first horror flick in the Bollywood industry after many light-hearted films like ‘Dream Girl,’ ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnaama’ and others.

Nushrat will next be seen in Chhalaang, an upcoming social black comedy film directed by Hansal Mehta, also starring Rajkummar Rao. It is produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg and Bhushan Kumar. The plot is set in a small town of Uttar Pradesh. It is set to release on 12 June 2020 worldwide.

Stay Strong In These Testing Times Says Shah Rukh Khan

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan shared prayers and love to those who got affected by the devastation caused by the cyclone Amphan in West Bengal and Odisha. The actor urged people to stay strong in these testing times.

Shah Rukh Khan took to his social media profile and wrote a heartfelt note. He shared, “My prayers, thoughts & love to those affected by the devastation caused by cyclone Amphan in Bengal & Odisha. The news has left me feeling hollow. Each & every one of them is my own. Like my family. We must stay strong through these testing times until we can smile together again.”

Meanwhile, scores of Bollywood actors such as Abhishek Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, Ayushmann Khurrana, Shoojit Sircar, Dia Mirza, Nushrat Bharucha, Ananya Pandey, Bhumi Pednekar and more have been pouring their heart out and sending out their prayers for those affected by the cyclone through their social media handles.

Kareena Kapoor Khan also shared a post featuring pictures of the aftermath of the cyclone that wreaked havoc in West Bengal and Odisha.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be conducting an aerial survey of the areas affected by Cyclone Amphan on Friday.

PM Modi announced Rs 1,000 crore relief package for West Bengal and Rs 2 lakh each for the kin of deceased and Rs 50,000 for those injured due to cyclone Amphan.

Nushrat Bharucha join Sidharth Malhotra on ‘Marjaavaan’ for a Special Song

Beautiful and talented actress Nushrat Bharucha joins Sidharth Malhotra on the sets of Marjaavaan for a special song, which is created by Yo Yo Honey Singh.
Marjaavaan is an upcoming romantic action drama film directed by Milap Zaveri and starring Ritesh Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles.
The film is a violent, dramatic love story, which is just about to get a special hot tadka, as Nushrat Bharucha has joined dapper Sidharth Malhotra to shoot for a special song composed by Honey Singh.

The filmmake Milan Milap Zaveri confirmed the news. He shared, “Big hug @NushratBharucha You ROCK! #Marjaavaan @SidMalhotra @Riteishd @tarasutaria__ @Rakulpreet @itsBhushanKumar @nikkhiladvani @monishaadvani @madhubhojwani @TSeries @EmmayEntertain @asliyoyo @mudassarkhan1”
While Nushrat has a guest spot in Marjaavaan, she is the female lead in Nikhil Bhatt’s Hurdang, alongside Sunny Kaushal and Gully Boy actor Vijay Varma. There’s also Dream Girl with Ayushmann Khurrana and Hansal Mehta’s Turram Khan with Rajkummar Rao.
Marjaavaan is scheduled for release on 2 October 2019.

​Vijay Varma, Sunny Kaushal and Nushrat Bharucha starring in ‘Hurdang’

The makers finally confirm the name of Sunny Kaushal, Nushrat Bharucha and Vijay Varma starring romantic drama, helmed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt. The film is titled Hurdang.
Hurdang is being touted as a love story set in the backdrop of 1990s, a time when the youth fought for their rights and spent a great deal of time to find self-realisation and had a strong desire to stand up and grab and stand up for the rights.

Producer of the film, Shaailesh R Singh, who is bankrolling Mental Hai Kya and Jabariya Jodi dropped the confirmation of the film. He tweeted, “Here is our next #Hurdang with very talented @sunnykaushal89 @nusratchirps @MrVijayVarma #july #Prayagraj”

Gully Boy famed actor Vijay Varma also shared his excitement. He tweeted, “Let’s go back to the 90s @ShaaileshRSingh @sunnykaushal89 @NushratBharucha and team #Hurdang”
Vijay is also set to star in Mira Nair’s A Suitable Boy, which is his first international project. He will be seen playing the character of Rasheed, a student at Brahmpur University and also an Arabic teacher. The shooting of the series is set to begin this September.

Before Hurdang, Sunny Kaushal will be seen romancing newcomer Rukshar Dhillon in Bhangra Paa Le and he will seen romancing Radhika Madan in yet another love story titled Shiddat. The film also stars Diana Penty and Mohit Raina.

Dream Girl is an upcoming comedy-drama film starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha. The film is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and is co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under their banner Balaji Motion Pictures.
Turram Khan will be directed by Hansal Mehta, he will also be working with his Love Sex Aur Dhokha co-star Nushrat Bharucha after a gap of eight years. The film will be a social comedy based in a small town of Uttar Pradesh. It is reported that the film will be produced by Ajay Devgan and Luv Ranjan.

#MeToo Actress Nushrat writes a letter in Luv Ranjan’s support

Actress Nushrat Bharucha has created a buzz in the town after she turned out in help of director Luv Ranjan. Luv was blamed for sexual harrasment by an actress in the wake of Bollywood’s ongoing #MeToo battle. Extending out her help to him, Nushrat wrote an open letter protecting Luv and said that the director has never made her feel uncomfortable.Talking about her work involvement with Luv, she said that he is not at all like the personality that has been painted. According to her, he guarantees a protected and fair condition for the female staff  has always stood up for girls.

While the claims were disturbing, Luv has called them ludicrous. He even said that he is willing to face a legitimate inquiry.
