Stunning and talented diva Priya Banerjee support Red Dot Challenge and urge people to stop shaming women going through periods.
To support World Menstrual Hygiene Day, actress Priya has joined Red Dot Challenge, to spread awareness on feminine hygiene.
Priya took to social media profile and expressed the need to educate girls with all information on maintaining hygiene, constructing adequate sanitation facilities and providing quick access to feminine hygiene products.
She wrote, “28th May is celebrated as Menstrual Hygiene Day and unicef has started this initiative to spread awareness and break the taboo about mensuration. Periods have always been such a taboo not only in India but all over the world and we need to put an end to shaming it. Women are restricted to several basic mundane things during there period in rural parts of India and we need to put a period to that. Educate each and everyone and also make a switch to sustainable biodegradable sanitary napkins. We must ensure the health and hygiene of all our women while protecting our planet.
