Shraddha Kapoor Celebrates 2 Years Of Her Movie ‘Stree’

Actor Shraddha Kapoor is celebrating 2 years of her movie ‘Stree’. The ‘Chichhore’ actor took to her Instagram handle and shared some stills and BTS pictures of the movie. In the BTS pictures, Shraddha is seen giving blessings to her co-star Rajkummar Rao, speaking on the mike, getting candid with Rajkummar Rao. The stills shared by Shraddha will surely reminiscence you the dreadfulness and horror of the movie.

About the film ‘Stree’, it is a horror comedy film directed by Amar Kaushik, written by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films, in association with D2RFilms. The film’s plot was based on the Karnataka urban legend known as ‘Nale Ba’ (English: “Come Tomorrow”), about a spirit who knocks on people’s doors at night. Stree stars Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor.

Hansal Mehta And Rajkummar Rao Are Overwhelmed With Omerta’s Response

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta and actor Rajkummar Rao are probably the new-age Jodi of Bollywood which has created a niche for parallel and content driven cinema, with their latest collaboration Omerta, hitting all the right notes with audience, the filmmaker-actor duo are nothing but overwhelmed with such amazing response.

‘Omerta’ is based on the life of British Born Pakistani terrorist Omar Saeed Sheikh, helmed by Hansal Mehta and stars Rajkumar Rao in the role. The film explores the 1994 kidnappings of Westerners in India for which Omar was arrested and served time in prison and the plotting of murder of Wall Street journalist Daniel Pearl in 2002.

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta just took to his social media and shared a candid still with Rajkummar Rao and wrote, “Thank you for the outpouring of appreciation. #Omerta was a difficult journey but a very satisfying journey. We were very happy making it. Glad I’m alive to witness the overwhelming love it is receiving. It gives us strength for the forward journey. Love to the entire team”

The film also features Rajesh Tailang, Rupinder Nagra and Keval Arora in key roles. Film has been co written by actor Mukul Dev who has done detailed research about the character. Film is streaming on ZEE5 and it surely demands a watch super soon!

Hansal Mehta and Rajkummar Rao’s next collaboration is Chhalaang, which is a social black comedy drama, also starring Nushrat Bharucha.

It is produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg and Bhushan Kumar. The plot is set in a small town of Uttar Pradesh.

Netflix India Drops Names Of 17 Upcoming Originals

Since yesterday there was a big buzz around Netflix India dropping the names of some movies which are going to be released soon on their platform. Stars like Kajol, Anil Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar , Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte and many others who will be starring in these films posted a hash tag #ComeOnNetflix to generate the curiosity amongst the audience.

And it came as a big surprise to everyone when today Netflix India finally dropped the names of the 17 Originals that will be soon releasing on NETFLIX.

Sharing an AV with the names , the official page of Netflix India shared ,”We’re all set to drop 17 upcoming originals! Are you excited or ARE YOU EXCITED?!”

Here are the names original films releasing on Netflix soon – Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Torbaaz, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, Raat Akeli Hai, Ludo, Class of ’83, Ginny Weds Sunny, Mismatched, AK vs AK, Tribhanga, Tedhi Medhi Crazy, Kaali Khuhi and Bombay Rose.

Netflix has also announced a series of web-shows as well, such as A Suitable Boy, Serious Men, Bhaag Beanie Bhaag, Bombay Begums and Masaba Masaba.

The release dates for them will be declared soon.

Rajkummar Rao In Remake Of Telugu Film ‘Hit: The First Case’ CONFIRMED

Rajkummar Rao has has nailed each of his performance with his fantastic acting. The actor has a plethora of films in his kitty and one more film has been added to the list as it is official that the actor will star in hindi remake of Telugu Film ‘Hit: The First Case’.

Film Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the news on his social media account and wrote, “IT’S OFFICIAL…#RajkummarRao to star in #Hindi remake of #Telugu film #Hit…A thriller…Sailesh Kolanu- who directed the original #Telugu film- will direct #Hindi version too. Produced by Dil Raju and Kuldeep Rathore…Now in pre production stages…Starts 2021”

Telugu Film ‘Hit: The First Case’ is a mystery thriller film that was released this year in February. The film starred Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in lead roles. The film is about a cop suffering from PTSD due to a past trauma. He takes up a case of a missing girl for personal reasons. The film worked well at the box office.

The film was directed by Sailesh Kolanu in Telugu who will be directing it for hindi version too. Rajkummar will be seen essaying the role of Vishwak in the hindi remake. The film will be produced by Dil Raju and Kuldeep Rathore. It will go on the floors in 2021.

This film is an addition to Rajkummar’s list of films who will soon be seen in ‘Ludo’ which is directed by Anurag Basu, ‘Roohi Afzana’ directed by Hardik Mehta and ‘Chhalaang’ directed by Hansal Mehta .

Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Omerta’ To Stream On ZEE5 On This Date

Actor Rajkummar Rao and Director Hansal Mehta, together, have given us some amazing films like ‘Shahid’ , ‘Citylights’ and ‘Aligarh’. The director actor duo also worked together in the film ‘Omerta’ which was released in India in the year 2018. This highly acclaimed film is now all set to make its premiere on OTT platform. The film will stream on ZEE5 from 25 July.

The film ‘Omerta’ is based on the life of British born Pakistani terrorist Omar Saeed Sheikh. The film which is based on the real life incidents of the 1994 Delhi westeners abduction, 9/11 attacks on the US and 26/11 Mumbai blasts was shot at multiple locations in adverse weather conditions.

Rajkummar plays the role of Omar Sheikh in the film. Film also features Rajesh Tailang, Rupinder Nagra and Keval Arora in key roles. Film has been co written by actor Mukul Dev.  The film had its world premiere at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival.

Film did not last long in the theatres in 2018 due to its dark subject but ZEE5 is bringing it to the OTT platform now. People who missed it that time can surely watch one of the best performances of Rao from 25 July only on ZEE5.

Meanwhile, Rajkummar and Hansal are collaborating for their fifth venture together with the film called ‘Chhalaang’. It is a social black comedy film set in a small town of Uttar Pradesh. Film has Nushrat Bharucha as the leading lady. Film  produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg and Bhushan Kumar was postponed for its release owing to Covid-19 pandemic.

Rajkummar Rao’s Lunch Menu from his film ‘Trapped’ will leave you astounded!

From playing Govind Patel in the movie Kai Po Che! to Shahid Azmi in Shahid, from playing a small role as Vijay in the film Queen to Deepak Singh in City Lights, From playing Shaurya in the film Trapped to Newton Kumar in Newton, Rajkummar Rao has nailed each of his performance with his fantastic acting. The actor who gets into the skin of each of his role shares a throwback picture from the sets of his film ‘Trapped’.

The actor wrote, “My lunch, when I was trapped in #Trapped. #Carrot&Coffee #NeverGiveUp #Throwback.”

The film revolved around the life of a call centre employee who gets trapped in his apartment room without food, water and electricity. The film which was a survival drama demanded him to look a certain way and the actor totally nailed it. Well, we can give the credit to his lunch menu for sure!

With pieces of carrot in his mouth and the look at his face, one can totally relate to the amount of hard work, he had put in for his role in the film ‘Trapped’.

Rajkummar whose last film was ‘Shimla Mirchi’ has a number of films in his kitty. He will soon be seen in ‘Ludo’ which is directed by Anurag Basu, ‘Roohi Afzana’ directed by Hardik Mehta and ‘Chhalaang’  directed by  Hansal Mehta .

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and actor Ayushmann Khurrana launched the ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ tongue twister challenge to promote their forthcoming slice of life drama.

The quirky comedy which marks Khurrana’s first film with Amitabh Bachchan was slated to hit the screens on April 17 but could not see the light of the day owing to the shuttering of cinema theatres due to COVID-19 lockdown.

Meanwhile on the work front, Vikrant was last seen in Chhapaak with Deepika Padukone. The actor has Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, Yaar Jigri, Ginny Weds Sunny        and Haseen Dillruba in his kitty.

Ginny Weds Sunny is a romantic comedy film directed by debutant Puneet Khanna and produced by Vinod Bachchan, also starring Yami Gautam.

Haseen Dillruba is a mystery thriller helmed by Vinil Mathew and produced by Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma under the banner Colour Yellow Productions. The film also stars Taapsee Pannu, Hansika Motwani and Harshvardhan Rane.

Meet Shoojit Sircar’s favourite character from the film ‘Gulabo Sitabo’

Be it a release in the theatres or over the OTT platforms, the whole cast and crew of the film remains nervous and excited before the release of their film. ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ is all set for its premiere on Amazon Prime on 12th June, 2020 and prior to it, the team is doing its best to promote the film. While the whole industry is busy taking up the ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ tongue twister challenge, director Shoojit Sircar shares his favourite character from the film.

Stars like Taapsee Pannu, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao, Yami Gautam, Ishaan Khatter, Vikrant Massey have tried their best to ace the challenge.

Starring thespian Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana, ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ is a story of eponymous glove puppet characters, Gulabo and Sitabo who reside in Uttar Pradesh.

It is a story full of local humour and songs depicting day to day struggle of a common man. Film is directed by ‘Piku’ fame Shoojit Sircar and written by Juhi Chaturvedi. It has been produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar.

Film will be released tomorrow 12 June, 2020 on Amazon Prime Video.

Rajkummar Rao shares a hard wrenching video ‘Together We Can’

Corona Virus has got the whole world to a standstill. Migrants are walking miles to reach their homes, poor people do not have food to eat and many are homeless. Amidst this challenging times, actor Rajkummar Rao shares a video ‘Together We Can’ urging people to step out from their comfort zone to help the needy.
