Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh are paired for the first time in a family entertainer Sardar Ka Grandson, and the duo just dropped a quirky and funny video, trying different names to kick-starts a hashtag, and apparently they have settled on RAKUUN.

Actor Arjun Kapoor just took to his social media and dropped the promotional video. He captioned it, “#RAKUUN…Humko lagta hai ki hum #RAKUUN hai! Apko kya lagta hai? Video dekhiye aur Bataiye! Something we shot when promotions weren’t about being virtual. @rakulpreet sending you virtual hugs”

In the video, Arjun Kapoor starts the conversation by claiming that Rakul Preet’s dream of working with him as come true and then starts discussing possible hastag, which is a combination of their respective names.

The film also stars Neena Gupta, Soni Razdan and Divya Seth in the pivotal roles.

The film revolves around Neena Gupta who wants to see her ancestral home in Pakistan. She wants her grandson to take her there. Arjun, who is essaying the role of grandson, decides to fulfill his grandmother’s wish. He gives all his efforts but is denied a visa. However, he then decides to bring the ancestral home to Amritsar.

The film will be releasing on May 18, 2021 on Netflix.

The world is slowly crawling to its feet, with mask and social distancing being the new normal, actor Arjun Kapoor is back to work after 4 long months break and accepts the new world order.

Arjun Kapoor shared a picture on Instagram in which he is seen resuming work after four months due to Covid pandemic. In the picture, he is seen posing for a photoshoot while the shooting staff is wearing protective cover-all, with gloves and masks as they take the necessary precautions amid the shot.

The actor is one of the celebs to be back on the sets and he is advocating for work to resume. Along with the picture, Arjun wrote, “Everyone of us will have to adjust to the new normal and slowly start resetting our lives. My work life restarted and I shot for the first time after 4 months…Sab Badal Chuka Hai. New World Order ‘Accepted”

Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh are coming together for the first time for their upcoming untitled film which was announced before lockdown. They were reportedly just one schedule away from calling it a wrap.

Kaashive Nair directorial will centre on the topic of showing the impact of cross-border love stories on the families of the lovers as well.

Bollywood Demands #JusticeForJayarajAndFenix

While our country stood out for justice for American African man Geroge Floyd, an equally horrifying case has taken place in our country which has shaken everybody. Custodial death of father son duo Jayaraj and Fenix who owned a mobile shop in Sathankulam, Tamil Nadu has jolted the whole country.

They were brutally beaten up by the police for keeping their shop open for a few minutes more than the permitted time and eventually the two succumbed to death.

There is an outrage across the country after this incident and everyone is demanding justice for them. Many Bollywood Celebrities are also coming forward and tweeting for the same.

Priyanka Chopra has tweeted,”#JusticeForJayarajAndBennicks Reeling from what I’ hearing. Absolutely stunned, sad and angry. No human being deserves such brutality, whatever be their crime. The guilty must not be allowed to go unpunished. We need facts. I cannot even begin to imagine what the family must be going through. Sending strength and prayers. We need to use our collective voices to seek #JusticeForJayarajAndBennicks.”

Genelia Deshmukh wrote, “I am so shocked and pained and to a large extent just unsure, how we have become such a horrible race. This incident is so brutal, it actually breaks my heart..Just not done. #JusticeforJayarajAndFenix.”

Rakul Preet Singh tweeted, “This is heartbreaking. I am disgusted. This kind of brutality is inhuman and no one has the right to treat another life in this manner. Makes me sick to the stomach. Actress Rakul Preet Singh is looking bubbly, cute and geeky on the latest cover page of leading tech magazine, Exhibit. She shot the cover photo at home, which according to diva was a real challenge.

Rakul Preet Is All Excited To Join PETA

In the course of lockdown, many celebrities are joining campaigns supporting environmental conservation. Actor Rakul Preet is all excited to join the bandwagon by PETA. The ‘De De Pyar De’ actress took to her Instagram and shared her picture wearing PETA t-shirt (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). Rakul in her post announced the campaign is aimed towards World Environmental Day and will be out soon.

Amid lockdown Rakul Preet and her family has pledged to support around 200 families with meals. The families are from a slum area near her Gurugram house the meals are being cooked in her apartment complex and is being sent to the needy families that are hit hard by the lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak.

On the work front, Rakul Preet is all set to appear in an array of films. Rakul will next appear in a comedy film starring Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra. The film titled ‘Thank God’ will hit the theatres in May next year. Rakul will also be starring in the most anticipated sequel to Kamal Hassan’s hit 1996 film ‘Indian’. She will be appearing opposite John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez in the Bollywood film ‘Attack’.

Superstar Manchu Manoj turns a year older today and his family and friends are nothing but warm wishes for the young actor.

Manoj is son of the legendary hero Mohan Babu, he stepped into the movie industry as a child artiste with the film, ‘Major Chandrakanth’. ‘De De Pyaar De showcased uncustomary Relationships in an acceptable way’ says Ajay Devgn

Actor Ajay Devgn starrer romantic-comedy ‘De De Pyaar De’ completed one year of its release on Sunday and superstar shares a candid video on social media stating that the film showcased uncustomary relationships in an acceptable way.

Actor Ajay Devgn took to his social media and shared a teaser video of the film. The video comprises snippets of the movie, which also stars actors Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh in pivotal roles.

He captioned it, “One year to the film that showcased uncustomary relationships in an acceptable way & showed us that family always come first. #1YearOfDeDePyaarDe @tabutiful @rakulpreet”

The movie opened with mix response but later picked up pace and became a huge hit. The film is produced by Luv Ranjan, who is best known for directing films like ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’ and ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’.

Directed by Akiv Ali, the film also stars Alok Nath, Javed Jaaferi, and Jimmy Shergill in key roles. The movie follows the story of Ajay as Ashish, a divorcee who falls for 26-year-old Ayesha (played by Rakul). In the film, Tabu plays Ajay’s ex-wife.

The story sheds light on the backlash Ajay faces for falling in love with a girl the age of his kids, and the complexities that come with it.

Meanwhile on the work front, Ajay Devgn will appear alongside Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati, Parineeti Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha in a historical film, Bhuj: The Pride of India. He is also part of Sooryavanshi.

Tribute Pour in for Irrfan Khan

Tribute pours in for veteran actor Irrfan Khan, who passed away due to Cancer in Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital in the wee hours of Wednesday. The actor was admitted in hospital due to colon infection.

Bollywood celebrities such as Harshvardhan Kapoor, Kubbra Sait, Raveena Tandon, Tusshar Kapoor, Nimrat Kaur, Rakul Preet Singh and more took to their social media profile and expressed their grief.

Actor Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor shared, “Losing an actor like Irrfan is something that will collectively haunt us for many many years to come , difficult to articulate how I feel right now , very rarely do I speak like this but this ones going to be very very tough to accept RoseRip #IrrfanKhan”

Actress Kubbra Sait tweeted, “Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un”

Irrfan had undergone treatment abroad for several months in 2019, working on just one project in that time, director Homi Adajania’s Angrezi Medium. The actor lost his mother, Saeeda Begum, on Saturday, and was reported to have attended her funeral via video call. Irrfan’s mother was 95.

Irrfan’s career spanned several decades and industries. His most famous films include his debut, the Academy Award nominated Salaam Bombay!, Maqbool (2004), Paan Singh Tomar (2011), The Lunchbox (2013), Haider (2014), Gunday (2014), Piku (2015) and Talvar (2015) and Hindi Medium (2017).
