Rohit Shetty Extend A Helping Hand Towards Photographers

After extending his help towards migrant workers, Mumbai police force and many others, filmmaker Rohit Shetty yet again offers a helping hand for the freelance media videographers.

The filmmaker, who is helping people who were financially affected due to the Covid-19 pandemic, has transferred money to the accounts of freelance media videographers, who have been unable to find work amid the virus crisis.

Earlier, Rohit used a portion of his remuneration from the currently-airing special edition of the adventure reality TV show “Khatron Ke Khiladi” to support workers such as the junior artistes, background dancers, stuntmen, lightmen and others, by directly sending money to their accounts.

Shetty also contributed to FWICE and the photographers who were homebound due to lockdown caused by the pandemic.

Currently, Rohit Sheety is shooting for Khatron Ke Khiladi: Made In India. The season is being shot entirely in Mumbai, unlike past seasons that were mostly filmed in exotic foreign locales.

The season will feature Karan Wahi, Rithvik Dhanjani, Harsh Limbachiyaa, Rashami Desai, Nia Sharma, Jasmine Bhasin, Aly Goni and Jay Bhanushali. It started airing from August 1.

The filmmaker is awaiting the release of his big Bollywood biggie “Sooryavanshi”, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif. He has assured fans that the cop action drama will open only in theatres.

Golmaal Again To Re-Release In New Zealand Confirms Rohit Shetty

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is excited about Golmaal Again being the first movie to release in New Zealand theatres, post Covid Pandemic.

The New Zealand is coming out of Covid Pandemic, with Zero Cases and trying to re-open the theatres and the first Hindi movie to hit the stands is Golmaal Again.

Golmaal Again, the fourth instalment in hit Golmaal franchise, starred Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Shreyas Talpade, Parineeti Chopra, Tabu, Johnny Lever, Prakash Raj and Neil Nitin Mukesh in the lead roles.

Rohit Shetty just took to his social media profile and dropped the confirmation on the re-release of the film. He shared, “New Zealand decides to re-release Golmaal Again in theatres making it the First Hindi Film to get a relaunch post covid. New Zealand is now covid free and is opening its theatres on 25th June with Golmaal Again. As it is rightly said – THE SHOW MUST GO ON…”

On the work front, Rohit Shetty’s next directorial is Sooryavanshi, an action thriller starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.

It is the fourth instalment of Shetty’s Police Universe and also featuring Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Jackie Shroff, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer, Vivan Bhatena and Javed Jaffrey, while Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh reprise their roles of Singham and Simmba from the franchise’s previous films.

Initially scheduled for release on 24 March 2020, the film was indefinitely postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Feed The Stray Urges Katrina Kaif

After celebrating World Oceans Day, stunning diva and animal lover Katrina Kaif urge everyone to feed stray animals, join hands with I Love Mumbai Foundation’s initiative.

Katrina Kaif took to her social media and shared a post about feeding the stray animals, terming feeding them “noble gesture.

She wrote, “Feeding homeless animals is a noble gesture and even though they can’t say the words, their gratitude shines through clearly in their eyes. I appeal to all citizens across the globe to kindly take out little food & water in bowls and keep those outside your house to FEED THE ANIMALS daily”

The ongoing corona-virus crisis has led to many stray animals staying hungry as people refrain from stepping out for unnecessary reasons. However, many activists and celebrities have been feeding stray animals to prevent them from dying of hunger.

On the work front, Katrina Kaif will next be seen in Sooryavanshi, which is helmed by Rohit Shetty and written by Yunus Sajawal. Veeru Devgan Taught Us Raw And Real Action Says Rohit Shetty

Hit filmmaker Rohit Shetty pays a tribute to late filmmaker and stunt director Veeru Devgan on his first Death Anniversary.

Golmaal director Rohit Shetty remembered famous Indian stuntmen and actor Ajay Devgn’s father Veeru Devgn on his death anniversary. Terming Veeru Devgn as his ‘guru,’ Shetty posted two pictures with him on Instagram and penned down an emotional note.

Rohit Shetty captioned it, “Back in time Veeru ji taught us raw and real action, no cables and no computer graphics. We are privileged to have him as our guru! Never executed a single stunt without giving your example to my team and had never imagined I would be blessed enough to present you the lifetime achievement award. It’s been a year since you left us. You will always be missed”

One of the pictures was from Shetty’s early days in Bollywood industry. The picture features Shetty trying to attempt an action sequence under Devgn’s guidance. The other picture was from an award function where Shetty and Veeru’s star daughter in law Kajol are seen bestowing him with the lifetime achievement award for his work in the Indian film industry.

The veteran director choreographed action scenes in more than 80 Hindi films including ‘Hindustan Ki Kasam’ where his son played the lead against Amitabh Bachchan.

Rohit Shetty helmed Sooryavanshi will be out soon. It stars Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.

Mumbai Police Thanks Rohit Shetty For His Kind Gesture

Hit Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has facilitated eight hotels across the city for on-duty policemen to rest and have meals amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The news was shared by the official handle of Mumbai Police on Twitter, thanking the Singham filmmaker for his gesture.

The official handle of Mumbai Police tweeted about it, “#RohitShetty has facilitated eight hotels across the city for our on-duty #CovidWarriors to rest, shower & change with arrangements for breakfast & dinner. We thank him for this kind gesture and for helping us in #TakingOnCorona and keeping Mumbai safe”

Shetty had previously donated Rs 51 lakh to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) in order to support the daily wage workers from the film industry in the wake of the national lockdown.
Before Shetty, his Simmba star Sonu Sood had offered his hotel in the city for the healthcare workers, including doctors, nurses and the paramedical staff, for stay.
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri had also offered their 4-storey personal office space for treating COVID-19 patients. According to Union Health Ministry, COVID-19 death toll has risen to 590 in the country as the number of cases climb to 18,601.

Meanwhile on the work front, Rohit Shetty’s next Sooryavanshi has been delayed due to Lockdown. The film is the fourth installment of Shetty’s Police Universe and features Akshay Kumar as the titular character opposite Katrina Kaif.

The film co-stars Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Jackie Shroff, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer, Vivan Bhatena and Javed Jaffrey, while Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh reprise their roles of Singham and Simmba from the franchise’s previous films.

Akshay Kumar just dropped a mind-blowing behind the scene making of action extravaganza Sooryavanshi, which comes loaded with Car Blowing Up, Helicopter Flying and action superstar pushing the limits many notches higher.
Actor Akshay Kumar is entering the world of Rohit Shetty with Sooryavanshi, which will showcase some pure, unadulterated action, confirm Khiladi Kumar.

Sooryavanshi will come with a high dose of action, which includes bike chase, car chase, helicopter chase and what not; the team has designed some of the most death defying realistic stunt sequences.

The film also stars Katrina Kaif, Gulshan Kumar, Neena Gupta, Abhimanyu Singh, Nikitin Dheer, Anupam Kher, Sikander Kher, Kavi Raz, Diganth Manchale, Kamlesh Sawant, Aseem Merchant, Vivan Bhatena, Amrit Pal Singh and Niharica Raizada.
The film is produced by Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions, Reliance Entertainment and Cape Of Good Films. It is the costliest cop film ever made in the history of Indian cinema.
The film releases on 27th March 2020.

Gulshan Grover Joins Akshay Kumar And Rohit Shetty For Sooryavanshi

Bad Man of Bollywood, veteran actor Gulshan Grover, is set to treat his fans with his villainous role in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film “Sooryavanshi”.
Akshay Kumar is collaborating with Rohit Shetty in his upcoming film ‘Sooryavanshi’ which is an addition to his cop-universe after ‘Singham’ and ‘Simmba’. The film, which is already in buzz, will also see Bollywood’s Bad Man, Gulshan Grover playing the villain in the film.
Gulshan has already completed shooting for 20 days. He is gearing up for the next schedule.
“Sooryavanshi” features actor Akshay Kumar in the lead role. In the movie, he is essaying the role of Veer Suryavanshi, a character that was introduced as an anti-terrorist squad officer in the Ranveer Singh-starrer 2018 film “Simmba”.
Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty are currently shooting in Bangkok for over the top stunt sequences. The film also stars actors Sikander Kher, Katrina Kaif and Neena Gupta.
Gulshan Grover and Akshay Kumar have earlier worked in movies, such as Mohra, Sabse Bada Khiladi, Hera Pheri and now Sooryavanshi.
The film is produced by Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar under their banner of Rohit Shetty Picturez and Dharma Productions in association with Reliance Entertainment and Cape Of Good Films. It is the costliest cop film ever made in Indian cinema history.
The film releases on May 21, 2020.
