Saand Ki Aankh, Biggest Experiment Of My Career Recalls Taapsee Pannu

Actor Taapsee Pannu shared throwback picture showcasing the first look trial of the 2019 biographical film ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, calling it the biggest experiment of career.

Taapsee took to her social media and shared pictures of her transformation for the role of shooter granny. In the picture, Taapsee is seen wearing prosthetics to look like an elderly Haryanvi woman.

Along with the picture, Taapsee penned a note and shared that the transformation for the film was the first biggest experiment of her career. She wrote, “The first look trial for #SaandKiAankh The first biggest experiment of my career, the first time director (our over enthu teddy ) @tusharhiranandani , first time producer @nidhiparmarhira and probably the first time 2 female actors in the prime of their career decided to depict Twice their age to share an equal screen space in a story never told before! ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ is a biographical movie based on Prakashi Tomar and Chandro Tomar — the octogenarians known as the world’s oldest sharpshooters from Johri village in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat. Both of them have various national championships to their names.

Meanwhile on the work front, Taapsee will star in the murder mystery Haseen Dillruba opposite Vikrant Massey, the athletic drama Rashmi Rocket opposite Aparshakti Khurana and the sports biopic Shabaash Mithu as cricketer Mithali Raj. In addition, she will team with Tahir Raj Bhasin for the drama Looop Lapeta.

Saand Ki Aankh Teaser Out Tomorrow Confirms Tushar Hiranandani

The filmmaker Tushar Hiranandani just took to his social media profile and shared a motion poster of the “Saand Ki Aankh” and also confirmed that the first official teaser of the film will be out tomorrow.
The film is a biopic drama based on the life of sharpshooters Chandro Tomar and her sister-in-law Prakashi Tomar, with actress Bhumi Pednekar, Tapsee Pannu and Prakash Jha as main characters.
The filmmaker Tushar Hiranandani shared the motion poster on his timeline and wrote, “Thank you #ChandroTomar and #PrakashiTomar for making my dream come true! #SaandKiAankhTeaser out tom! @bhumipednekar @taapsee @prakashjha27 @ItsVineetSingh @anuragkashyap72 @Shibasishsarkar @nidhiparmar @RelianceEnt @realshooterdadi @shooterdadi @ZeeMusicCompany @PicturesPVR”

Taapsee and Bhumi will be seen playing Chandro and Prakashi Tomar, two octogenarian sharpshooters from Uttar Pradesh’s Johri village in Baghpat district, on whom the biographical drama is based.

The film is produced by Anurag Kashyap, Reliance Entertainment and Nidhi Parmar. Initially the film was titled Womaniya but due to controversy over legal rights of the title which is held by Pritish Nandy Communications, the film was renamed as Saand ki Aankh. Actor Vineet Kumar Singh is also part of the ensemble cast. The film is slated for 25th October 2019 release.

Bhumi Pednekar Shares BTS Picture of Saand Ki Aankh

Bhumi Pednekar starrer ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ has been the talk of the town for a long time now. Now the actresses have been sharing the BTS pictures from the sets of the film.
Taapsee and Bhumi are playing the role of sharpshooters Prakshi and Chandro Tomar in the film.
Bhumi took to her social media profile to share a photo introducing her character and her journey. She wrote, “17 pe ho gai shaadi, 18 tak aa gai munni pyaari, Phir toh silsila chalta raha, Jab tak humnien uthai bandook aur maar di #SaandKiAankh #Bullseye”

Bhumi will be seen playing the role of Chandro Tomar, a medal winning sharpshooter, who hails from rural India. She got married at the tender age of 17 and became mother to a girl at the age of 18, but things changed when she picked up the gun and aimed.
Further Bhumi shared one more working still, which describes her relationship with her sister in law, Prakashi Tomar, who inspired her to pursue her talent.

She captioned it, “Yo hai mhari devrani, Prakashi…Mhara rishta hai bohot anokha, hum hai saheliyan, behenein aur sukh-dukh ke saathi…Humne saath uthai bandook aur tode saare rules…Kyuki mera toh manna hai, Mehnat kare insaan, sahayata kare bhagwan…#SaandhKiAankh”
The film is backed by Anurag Kashyap and helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ is scheduled to release in Diwali this year. The film’s teaser will be attached to Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Super 30’ which is all set to hit the theatres on July 12.

The film is produced by Anurag Kashayap and directed by Tushar Hiranandani, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ is based on two sharpshooters named Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar.
The movie is slated to release on Diwali 2019.
