Ishaan Khatter Drops A Suitable Boy Teaser

After making his debut with internationally acclaimed filmmaker Majid Majidi’s drama Beyond the Clouds, actor Ishaan Khatter shares yet another sneak-peek into the world of A Suitable Boy, his second international venture.

A Suitable Boy is a drama miniseries written by Andrew Davies, adapted from the novel of the same name by Vikram Seth.

Ishaan Khatter dropped the teaser of the series on his social media profile. He wrote, “A first sneak peak into the world of #ASuitableBoy….@bbc: Love will push you beyond your boundaries. Based on the best-selling novel, A Suitable Boy starts 26th July on BBC One and @BBCiPlayer”

The drama series is directed by Mira Nair and starring Tabu, Ishaan Khatter, Tanya Maniktala, Rasika Dugal, and Ram Kapoor follows the story of spirited university student Lata (played by Tanya Maniktala), coming of age in North India in 1951.

The filming of the series began in Lucknow. The first episode is due to be aired on 26 July 2020 on BBC One.

Apart from A Suitable Boy, Ishaan Khatter is busy with his second commercial Hindi outing, Khaali Peeli, which is a romantic action film directed by Maqbool Khan and produced by Ali Abbas Zafar and Himanshu Mehra. The film also features Ananya Panday, Jaideep Ahlawat and Satish Kaushik.

‘De De Pyaar De showcased uncustomary Relationships in an acceptable way’ says Ajay Devgn

Actor Ajay Devgn starrer romantic-comedy ‘De De Pyaar De’ completed one year of its release on Sunday and superstar shares a candid video on social media stating that the film showcased uncustomary relationships in an acceptable way.

Actor Ajay Devgn took to his social media and shared a teaser video of the film. The video comprises snippets of the movie, which also stars actors Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh in pivotal roles.

He captioned it, “One year to the film that showcased uncustomary relationships in an acceptable way & showed us that family always come first. #1YearOfDeDePyaarDe @tabutiful @rakulpreet”

The movie opened with mix response but later picked up pace and became a huge hit. The film is produced by Luv Ranjan, who is best known for directing films like ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’ and ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’.

Directed by Akiv Ali, the film also stars Alok Nath, Javed Jaaferi, and Jimmy Shergill in key roles. The movie follows the story of Ajay as Ashish, a divorcee who falls for 26-year-old Ayesha (played by Rakul). In the film, Tabu plays Ajay’s ex-wife.

The story sheds light on the backlash Ajay faces for falling in love with a girl the age of his kids, and the complexities that come with it.

Meanwhile on the work front, Ajay Devgn will appear alongside Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati, Parineeti Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha in a historical film, Bhuj: The Pride of India. He is also part of Sooryavanshi.

Starcast of ‘A Suitable Boy’ Poses On The British Vogue Magazine

Ishaan Khatter shared the look from the cover of British Vogue magazine featuring Tabu, Tanya Maniktala and himself and we must say the three look supremely urbane and poised.

Dhadak star shared the cover photo and wrote, “June, 2020 @britishvogue #ASuitableBoy”. Three of them will be starring in the upcoming miniseries drama and donning pastel colours on the cover each one of them exude sophistication at its best.

Well like Ishaan, all of us can’t wait for June as finally the long awaited ‘A Suitable Boy’ drama miniseries will be on air.

Based on Vikram Seth’s novel by the same name, A Suitable Boy has been adapted by the highly acclaimed Andrew Davies who has penned it into a six part series. Oscar and BAFTA nominated director Mira Nair has helmed the project which showcases the fortune of four families in North India in post partition turbulent background in the year 1951.

Ishaan will play the character of hedonistic Maan Kapoor whereas Tabu will portray the role of Saeeda Bai. Newcomer Tanya Maniktala will play the role of Lata Mehra. It will also feature Rasika Duggal, Ram Kapoor, Vivaan Shah, Vinay Pathak in supporting roles.

Filming for the same began in the end of summer 2019 in Lucknow. This epic tale of an unseen India is all set to be aired in June 2020.

Jawaani Jaaneman goes on floors in London feat Saif Ali Khan and Tabu

Actor Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and debutante Alaia Furniturwala starring Jawaani Jaaneman went on floors in London yesterday on 18th June.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the film is produced by Jacky Bhagnani, Saif’s Black Knight Films and Jay Shewakramani’s Northern Lights Films. The film marks the debut of Pooja Bedi’s daughter, Alaia Furniturewala and is touted as a fun, comic take on how a man confronts the harsh reality of his life.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh dropped the deeds on the film. He tweeted, “‏Filming begins today in #London…Pooja Bhagnani sounds the clap for the mahurat shot… #JawaaniJaaneman stars Saif Ali Khan and Alaia F [Pooja Bedi’s daughter]…Directed by Nitin Kakkar…Produced by Black Knight Films, Northern Lights Films and Pooja Entertainment”
The film follows relationship of a forty year old father (played by Khan) and his daughter (played by Alaia). The father-daughter bond between Saif and Alaia’s characters at the story’s core is both unique and relatable.
The film also stars Kubbra Sait in a pivotal role. The movie also marks the first venture of Saif Ali Khan’s new production house and it is co-produced by Jay Shewakramani and Jacky Bhagnani.
Saif Ali Khan, who was on a vacation in London with his wife Kareena Kapoor and their son Taimur, will start filming Jawaani Jaaneman with Alaia soon and their schedule will wrap up in two months. The film is slated for November 2019 release.
Saif Ali Khan is also busy with Scared Games 2, Laal Kaptaan and Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior.

Saif Ali Khan And Tabu Starrer Jawaani Jaaneman Gets A Release Date

Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and debutante Alaia Furniturewala staring `Jawaani Jaaneman` has finally got a release date. The film will hit the screens on November 29 this year. Helmed by Nitin Kakkar, its shooting schedule will commence this month in London.
Trade Analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh announced the news on his Twitter handle and wrote, “Release date finalized Jawaani Jaaneman to release on 29 Nov 2019”, Stars Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Alaia Directed by Nitin Kakkar, produced by Black Knight Films, Northern Lights Films and Pooja Entertainment, starts June 2019 in London.
The film is about a 40 year old man who refuses to grow up and realises accidentally that he is a father to a teenager. Jawani Janeman is expected to go on floors next year in London.
The film will mark the Bollywood debut of Pooja Bedi`s daughter Alaia Furniturewala.
Apart from this film, Saif is currently busy preparing for his role as a `naga sadhu` for his upcoming film `Laal Kaptaan`.
He will also be seen essaying the character of cop Sartaj Singh in the second season of the much-awaited crime thriller web series `Sacred Games 2`. His character in the series is on a mission to uncover a terror attack in Mumbai.
Tabu was last seen in the rom-com `De De Pyar De` where she shared screen space with Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh.
