Check Out The ‘Mirchi Lagi Toh’ From ‘Coolie No 1’

The makers of Coolie No 1, unveils yet another reprised version of hit song from the movie, keeping the nostalgic going! The remixed version of Mirchi Lagi Toh is out and this one is as good as the original song.

Ahead of the Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan film releasing on Amazon Prime, the makers released the song, Tujhko Mirchi Lagi. The song features original singers Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik. It has been reimagined by Lilo Geor-DJ Chetas, the original song was composed by Anand-Milind and lyrics were penned by Sameer.

The official handle of Pooja Entertainment dropped the song on social media. The sights and sounds of a Chowpatty streetside of the original have been replaced by a set with pop colours in the new song. While Varun is dressed in tees and trousers, Sara chose a tutu-style dress. The 90s song was far more homely with Govinda’s shirts with loud prints and Karisma’s saris.

Coolie No 1 is a remake of David’s 1995 film by the same name. It will premiere on Christmas (December 25) on Amazon Prime Video. Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, and Deepshikha Deshmukh, the film also stars Paresh Rawal, Jaaved Jaaferi, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, and Shikha Talsania among others.

30 Million Varuniacs For Varun Dhawan

Dancing star Varun Dhawan took to his social media and thanked his fans for believing in him as the actor celebrated on reaching the 30 million followers’ mark on Instagram.

ABCD actor Varun posted a montage on the photo-sharing platform that captured snippets of his films and different roles essayed by the star. He captioned it, “30 MILLION #varuniacs. Thank you for believing in me. Keep moving on the beat. Thank u @stevenroythomas for this edit”

The actor is hugely popular among movie buffs for his classic films like ‘October’ and ‘Badlapur’. He is also famous for his romantic comedy films like ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Judwaa 2.’

Meanwhile on the work front, Varun Dhawan will next be seen in Coolie No. 1, which is an upcoming comedy film directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani. A remake of the 1995 film of the same name, the film pairs Varun and Sara Ali Khan for the first time.

The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Javed Jaffrey, Rajpal Yadav and Johnny Lever in supporting roles. The first look poster of the film is out. The film was set to be theatrically released in India on 1 May 2020, but has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Disney + Hotstar To Release 7 Big Films

Amid coronavirus lockdown everything has come to a halt. People are bored to death. With the theatres shut cinema lovers are craving to see their favorite stars in new avatars. But now no more holding your fire. There is good news for all the people who want to enjoy their chosen one. The makers are all set to release their movies on OTT platforms.

Disney + Hotstar announced seven big films that are set for a direct release on the OTT platform. The virtual press meet was attended by actors Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Bachchan and Alia Bhatt. The posters of the films were also unveiled.

After ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ on Amazon Prime, here is a list of 7 films waiting for you on Disney+Hotstar:

Khuda Haafiz – Starring Vidyut Jammwal in the lead role, the film is a romantic thriller directed by Faruk Kabir. Shivalika Oberoi plays the female lead in the film. Khuda Haafiz also stars Annu Kapoor, Shiv Panditt, Nawab Shah and Aahana Kumra, among others.

Laxmmi Bomb – Akshay Kumar’s horror-comedy, Laxmmi Bomb is one of the most-awaited films of this year and will premiere on Disney + Hotstar. It was earlier scheduled to hit the silver screens on the occasion of Eid, on June 5. In the film, Akshay plays the role of a man who gets possessed by a ghost of a transgender. The actor’s first look was unveiled in October last year, on the occasion of Navratri. Akshay Kumar was seen wearing a saree with a big, red bindi and an intense expression on his face.

Sadak 2 – Mahesh Bhatt’s directorial comeback, Sadak 2 will premiere on Disney+Hotstar. The film boasts of an ensemble starcast of Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. It is the sequel to the 1991 cult-classic of the same name.

Bhuj: The Pride of India – Starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, the film is based on the Indo-Pak war of 1971. Ajay Devgn plays the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik in the film. Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Sharad Kelkar also play pivotal roles. Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film will soon premiere on Disney+Hotstar.

The Big Bull – Abhishek Bachchan plays the lead role in The Big Bull. As per reports, the film is based on the life of infamous stockbroker Harshad Mehta. Before the novel coronavirus crisis, the film was scheduled for a theatrical release on October 23. However, it will now digitally premiere on OTT.

Dil Bechara – Sushant Singh Rajput’s last release, Dil Bechara, will be available for streaming on Disney + Hotstar from July 24. The film marks the Bollywood debut of Sanjana Sanghi. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra turns a feature film director with Dil Bechara. Saif Ali Khan and Swastika Mukherjee also play key roles in the film. It is the official Hindi remake of 2014 Hollywood romantic drama The Fault in our Stars, based on John Green’s book with the same name.

Lootcase – Kunal Kemmu’s Lootcase will also be available on Disney+Hotstar for streaming. The comic entertainer stars Rasika Dugal as the female lead. The plot revolves around a middle-class man named Nandan (Kunal Kemmu), who finds a bag full of Rs 2000 notes. While on one hand he is asking people if they have lost their bag, on the other, several powerful men are looking for it. Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, the film was earlier scheduled to release on October 11 in theatres.

Kartik Aaryan Pays Homage To Galwan Valley Brave Hearts

Heartthrob Kartik Aaryan pays homage to the brave hearts killed during the violent face-off with the Chinese troops in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley.

The ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’ actor took to his social media handle to pay tributes to Army personnel who gave the utmost sacrifice for our nation.

Kartik posted a picture of the Indian flag and wrote, “They do it for all of us. A big salute to all the brave men who show us what real sacrifice means. Thank you for protecting us. May the families of martyred heroes be blessed with immense strength. Jai Hind Jai Jawan”

Earlier a host of B-town celebs including Anushka Sharma, Varun Dhawan, Ajay Devgn, Farhan Akhtar, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and others paid their respect and added that they will be forever indebted to our heroes’ ultimate sacrifice.

The violent clash started on late evening and night of June 15 in Ladakh’s Galwan Valley as a result of an attempt by the Chinese troops to unilaterally change the status quo during de-escalation in Eastern Ladakh and the situation could have been avoided if the agreement at the higher level been scrupulously followed by the Chinese side, India had said on Tuesday.

Twenty Indian soldiers were killed in the violent face-off with Chinese troops in eastern Ladakh’s Galwan Valley on Monday. Indian intercepts revealed that the Chinese side suffered 43 casualties including dead and seriously injured in the violent clash

The quirky comedy which marks Khurrana’s first film with Amitabh Bachchan was slated to hit the screens on April 17 but could not see the light of the day owing to the shuttering of cinema theatres due to COVID-19 lockdown.

Meanwhile on the work front, Vikrant was last seen in Chhapaak with Deepika Padukone. The actor has Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, Yaar Jigri, Ginny Weds Sunny        and Haseen Dillruba in his kitty.

Ginny Weds Sunny is a romantic comedy film directed by debutant Puneet Khanna and produced by Vinod Bachchan, also starring Yami Gautam.

Haseen Dillruba is a mystery thriller helmed by Vinil Mathew and produced by Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma under the banner Colour Yellow Productions. The film also stars Taapsee Pannu, Hansika Motwani and Harshvardhan Rane.

Meet Shoojit Sircar’s favourite character from the film ‘Gulabo Sitabo’

Be it a release in the theatres or over the OTT platforms, the whole cast and crew of the film remains nervous and excited before the release of their film. ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ is all set for its premiere on Amazon Prime on 12th June, 2020 and prior to it, the team is doing its best to promote the film. While the whole industry is busy taking up the ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ tongue twister challenge, director Shoojit Sircar shares his favourite character from the film.

Just days ahead of the release of the film, Amitabh Bachchan introduced a tongue twister challenge  as a part of the film promotion and since then it has been keeping the whole industry busy. Stars like Taapsee Pannu, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao, Yami Gautam, Ishaan Khatter, Vikrant Massey have tried their best to ace the challenge.

Starring thespian Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana, ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ is a story of eponymous glove puppet characters, Gulabo and Sitabo who reside in Uttar Pradesh.

It is a story full of local humour and songs depicting day to day struggle of a common man. Film is directed by ‘Piku’ fame Shoojit Sircar and written by Juhi Chaturvedi. It has been produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar.

Film will be released tomorrow 12 June, 2020 on Amazon Prime Video.

Varun Dhawan Crowns Baba Jackson As ‘Entertainer No. 1’ With 1 Cr Prize Money

Actor Varun Dhawan recently teamed up with one of his brands to hunt the best talent across the country through an online show Entertainer No. 1. The objective of the show was to provide an opportunity for people to showcase their skills even from home during the coronavirus lockdown.

Varun Dhawan who hosted and judged the first-ever unique stay-at-home reality show with Flipkart has come to an end and ‘Dancer Baba Jackson’ a.k.a Yuvraj Singh who was declared the winner won a whopping Rs. 1 crore as prize money.

Varun took to his social media to congratulate the talented dancer and said, “We are all at our house, this was the first show that I hosted. I know the struggles you have gone through. You have been giving the best performances for 8 straight weeks. I wish I could come and congratulate in person but difficult times. All the best.”

The show was touted to be a viral reality show on the app as participations kicked in from all over the nation amidst the pandemic.

Meanwhile on the work front, Dhawan began the new decade by reuniting with Shraddha Kapoor in the dance film Street Dancer 3D (2020), he will next star in the comedy Coolie No. 1, an adaptation of his father’s 1995 film of the same name, co-starring Sara Ali Khan.

Dhawan has also committed to collaborate with Sriram Raghavan for the second time in a biopic of the military officer Arun Khetarpal.

Randeep Hooda, John Abraham, Varun Dhawan And More Demand Justice For Elephant In Kerala

Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda, John Abraham, Varun Dhawan, and more condemned the inhuman treatment meted out to pregnant elephant in Kerala.

The elephant died after a local allegedly fed her a pineapple stuffed with crackers in Palakkad-Malappuram border in Kerala on May 27.

Expressing shock over the tragic incident, the actors took to social media platforms and demanded stricter laws against animal cruelty.

Varun Dhawan took to his social media profile and wrote, “We pray to him and yet do this…A pregnant elephant was fed cracker stuffed pineapple by unidentified people in Kerala which exploded in her mouth and damaged her jaw. She walked around the village and finally passed away standing in a river. We keep searching for monsters hoping they would be having the devil’s horns on their heads. But look around you, the monsters walk beside you. This elephant was going to give birth 18-20 months later. Even after the elephant was injured, she did not crush a single home or hurt a single human being. She just stood in a river because of the excruciating pain and passed away without hurting a single soul. From anybody who throws stones at a stray dog to anybody hurting a living soul, choose one face. A lot of these animals trust human beings because they have been helped by them in the past. This is cruel beyond measure. When you lack empathy and kindness, you do not deserve to be called a human being. To hurt someone is not human. Just stricter laws won’t help. We need a decent execution of the law too. Until the guilty are punished in the worst possible way, these wicked monsters will never fear the law. Though it’s a difficult task, I hope they are able to find out the one who committed this crime and punish them accordingly. Artwork by Bratuti.

Sharing some heart-wrenching pictures of the dead elephant and its womb, John Abraham shared a post which showed a sketch of the last conversation between the mother elephant and baby in the womb, where the baby asks, “Amma, I will never be able to see humans?” To which the crying mom says, “You won’t regret baby.”

Bollywood Grieves The Demise Of Wajid Khan

2020 is giving us tragic news one after the other. The industry lost one more gem, a talented music composer Wajid Khan, of composer duo Sajid-Wajid. He was 42 and died from complications due to suspected Covid-19 on early hours of Monday. This came as shocking news to everyone and since then his close friends from the industry have been paying condolence to the family.

Celebrities such as Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, Riteish Deshmukh and many more took to their social media handle and mourn the demise of Wajid Khan.

Thespian Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Shocked at the passing of Wajid Khan…a bright smiling talent passes away…duas, prayers and in condolence”

Young gun Varun Dhawan also paid his homage and wrote, “Shocked hearing this news @wajidkhan7 bhai was extremely close to me and my family. He was one of the most positive people to be around. We will miss u Wajid Bhai thank you for the music”

Actor Riteish Deshmukh tweeted, “Deeply saddened & shocked by the passing away of a wonderful musical maestro @wajidkhan7 – rest in glory my friend.
