Comedy Couple On ZEE5, Feat. Saqib Saleem and Shweta Basu Prasad

ZEE5, the largest Original content creator in India is treating audience everyday with the announcement of new releases. It is definitely a win-win situation for all the cinephiles as they are getting to see new content every other day.

With the audience anxiously waiting for films like ‘Omerta’ and ‘Yaara’ to start premiering `on ZEE5, here comes another announcement for a new release, film ‘Comedy Couple’ starring Saqib Saleem and Shweta Basu Prasad will make its premiere soon on ZEE5.

Film Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to his social media to announce the same, “ANNOUNCEMENT…#ShwetaBasuPrasad and #SaqibSaleem…#ComedyCouple -a feature film produced by Yoodlee Films (the film production arm of Saregama India) will premiere on #Zee5…Directed by Nachiket Samant…First glimpse of the urban rom-com”

The film will star Saqib Saleem and Shweta Basu Prasad in lead roles. The film is an urban rom-com which is directed by Nachiket Samant and produced by Yoodlee Films, which is the film production arm of Saregama India.

Meanwhile, on the workfront, Saqib Saleem will soon be seen in ’83, a sports drama film directed by Kabir Khan. The film will focus on the country’s incredible cricket World Cup victory in 1983. Film stars Ranveer Singh as cricketer Kapil Dev. It also features Deepika Padukone, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Jiiva, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Sahil Khattar, Nishant Dahiya and Amrita Puri.

Saqib will also be seen in the film ‘Time To Dance’ which is a dance film directed by Stanley D’Costa and features Sooraj Pancholi, Isabelle Kaif and Waluscha De Sousa. The film is co produced by Bhushan Kumar and Remo D’Souza.

While, Shweta who was loved for her role in ‘The Tashkent Files’ was last seen in the film, titled ‘Shukranu’ which was directed by Bishnu Dev Halder and also starred Divyenndu Sharma and Sheetal Thakur in lead roles.

Yaara To Release On ZEE5

Ensemble starrer Yaara, an Indian remake of French drama Gang Story, starring Vidyut Jammwal, Amit Sadh, Shruti Haasan, Vijay Varma, and Sanjay Mishra in the lead roles will have its digital release.

Filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia’s most ambitious project, Yaara, which has been stalled for the longest is finally releasing on OTT platform ZEE5.

Actor Vijay Varma took to his social media and dropped a teaser from the film. He captioned it, “Get ready to witness an epic tale of a friendship that will fight all the odds & break all the rules. In the first look motion poster, Vidyut Jammwal, Vijay Varma, Kenny Basumatary and Amit Sadh, really takes us back to the 70s with bell bottoms, archaic bikes and unique hairstyles.

Yaara is a crime drama that tests an enduring friendship between four notorious criminals. Set in the backdrop of North India, the narrative is wrapped in a thin sheet of history.

Yaara is a ZEE5 original film produced by Sunir Kheterpal. The film also stars Shruti Haasan, and Kenny Basumatary.

Virgin Bhanupriya Is A Strong Film Says Urvashi Rautela

Actress Urvashi Rautela says her forthcoming slice of life drama Virgin Bhanupriya is a strong female centric movie on the sidelines of a Hand Sanitizer launch here in Mumbai.

Urvashi Rautela starrer Virgin Bhanupriya’s first official trailer is also out today and actress says she is lucky to have second female centric film.

Talking about the trailer release of her film, Urvashi said, “It is co-incidence that trailer of my upcoming film is also coming out, but I really cannot have a trailer launch, so we’re launching it digitally. The film is titled Virgin Bhanupriya. It is my second female centric film, and I am sure youth will be able to relate to the story”

“I am feeling truly lucky with Virgin Bhanupriya, as the character is really strong because once you start getting strong female roles; it establishes that you’re known as strong performer” added Urvashi.

Virgin Bhanupriya is helmed by Ajay Lohan, also starring Gautam Gulati, Archana Puran Singh, Delnaaz Irani, Rajiv Gupta and Brijendra Kala, Niki Aneja Walia and Rumana Molla.

Bollywood is trying to get back to its feet post lockdown and actress Urvashi Rautela ventured out to take “new normal” with confident strides. The actress hosted first ever public event post lockdown and hailed it as “giving back to commoners”.

Talking about hosting the first ever public event with media post lockdown, Urvashi said, “For me it is more than an event, I think it is all about social cause, helping common people, as this particular company is offering everything at half rate and I really wanted to something for common people, so I agreed to launch the product”

The film was scheduled for theatrical release, but has moved to release on 16 July 2020 through ZEE5 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sushmita Sen Starrer ‘Aarya’ Trailer Is Out

World beauty and stunning actress Sushmita Sen is making her foray into acting once again with her debut digital series, Aarya, the official trailer of the same is out!

Sushmita Sen was last seen in Srijit Mukherji’s Bengali film ‘Nirbaak’ in 2015, is making a comeback in a web series called ‘Aarya’ which will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar soon.

She dropped the trailer on her social media profile. She captioned it, “AARYA OFFICIAL TRAILER”

In the trailer Sushmita playing a doting mother and a wife who is forced to take up the murky business of illegal drugs and settle old scores when her husband is shot by a masked man. From the looks of the trailer, the series looks like a powerful story of redemption and of a woman’s courage.

It also marks a comeback of sorts for actor Chandrachur Singh who plays Sushmita’s husband in the series. The story is set in Rajasthan. The web series has been directed by Ram Madhvani.

The show also stars Sikandar Kher, Namit Das, Ankur Bhatia, Jayant Kripalani, Sohaila Kapoor, Sugandha Garg amongst others. The series is said to be a remake of Dutch series ‘Penoza’.

The series streams from 19^th June.

These 5 Movies Releasing On OTT Are Not To Be Missed

India is in the phase 1 of its opening post a long lockdown but this will not mean that people can openly go out and enjoy. The fear of corona-virus is still lingering on in the country and everyone wants to keep themselves safe and sound. Entertainment Industry has been hit hardly by the pandemic and release of the films in theatres has become next to impossible. Therefore, the producers are now moving towards OTT platforms to release their movies.

We bring to you a list of 5 movies that will be releasing in the month of June on various OTT platforms. These movies are surely not to be missed:

Choked – This Anurag Kashyap movie’s trailer has already created the right buzz. The film tells the story of a bank employee who is under deep debts because of her husband and she finds cash flowing out of her kitchen sink in the backdrop of 2016 bank note demonitisation. Film stars Saiyaami Kher and Roshan Mathew in lead roles. The film streams on 5^th June.

Gulabo Sitabo – Directed by Shoojit Sircar, this film is what audience cannot wait for! Film is a story of eponymous glove puppet characters, Gulabo and Sitabo who reside in Uttar Pradesh. It is a story full of local humour and songs depicting day to day struggle of a common man. Film stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana in lead roles. The film streams on 12^th June.

Penguin – This south film will be making its premiere on Amazon prime on the 19th. This mystery thriller is directed by Eashvar Karthik and is a story of a pregnant woman played by Keerthy Suresh.

Law – Actress Ragini Chandran will make her debut with this Kannada film which is a story of a law graduate who is fighting her own case in the court. Veteran actor Mukhyamantri Chandru will be seen playing the role of judge in the film. The film has been written and directed by Raghu Samarth. The film streams on 26^th June.

Ludo – This dark anthology comedy film directed by Anurag Basu features Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Sheikh and Pankaj Tripathi in key roles. The film is divided into four chapters each telling a different and unique story. Film will be released in the month of June on Netflix.

Check Out The Hilarious and Quirky Trailer Of ‘Chintu Ka Birthday’

The ZEE5 Premium has dropped a hilarious and quirky trailer of forthcoming film, Chintu Ka Birthday, starring Vinay Pathak and Tillotama Shome.

Chintu Ka Birthday is a film about an extraordinary situation ruining the most important day of the year for a six-year-old, Chintu ka Birthday, is releasing on Zee5 on June 5.

Filmed by Satyanshu Singh and Devanshu Kumar, the duo who won a National Award for their short film Tamaash, Chintu ka Birthday stars Vedant Raj Chibber (in the titular role), Seema Pahwa, Reginald Barnes, Nate Scholz and Bisha Chaturvedi among others.

The official handle of ZEE5 Premium dropped the trailer. The caption read. “Kuch alag hi dikh rahi hai yeh birthday party aur yeh guns ke saath bhalaa kaun aata hai party attend karne? Chintu Ka Birthday is produced by AIB alumni Tanmay Bhat, Rohan Joshi, and Ashish Shakya under the banner First Draft Entertainment.

The movie is set in war-torn Iraq but you don’t get a hint of that till you are nearly half-way into the trailer. A significant part of it features Vinay Pathak, Tillotama Shome, and Seema Bhargava arranging Chintu’s birthday, which is going to be attended by 25 kids.

However, as soon as you settle in to the warm tone of the trailer, it is disrupted by two American soldiers and that’s actually when you get to know that the movie is set in Iraq. From that point onward it all becomes about celebrating Chintu’s birthday despite the relentless harassment by the US soldiers.

Chintu Ka Birthday will stream on Zee5 on June 5.
