Tamannaah Bhatia who is gearing up for Khamoshi with Prabhu Deva, says she feels pressure to choose better scripts that audience would like to see her in.
Tamannaah interacted with media for the film’s promotion on Tuesday.
The south actress who has also reacted a name for herself in the Bollywood industry was asked if she feels the pressure to do better because of her good track record at the box office, she said, “There is a pressure for trying to do choose better scripts and it is difficult because apart from just having something good to do, you just have to also see what the audience would like. So for me, it is a constant balance of trying to find a good characterization in a good film.
I think that is the tricky part. But I am happy that directors are now approaching me for different roles. So I happy to be approached like that for movies.” she added.
The actress will be seen in the thriller Khamoshi alongside Prabhu Deva as a deaf and mute, when talking about the movies she said, “Khamoshi is a very new subject for me because I play deaf and mute in it and when I heard the script, in Hindi films normally is thrillers are made there is some kind of song dance that is added which makes it very gimmicky.
And for a thriller, it is important that the film maintains its pace, is racy and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I thought this film has it, in terms of characterization the film works on human’s most basic emotion and that is fear.”
This is Tamannaah’s third collaboration with Prabhu Deva in numerous languages, talking about his work and their rapport she added, “He is an amazing actor, choreographer, and a director but when he comes on set as an actor he completely surrenders himself to the director and becomes the director’s actor, which is amazing. He is a gifted actor whenever I work with him my performance comes out even better. It’s the third time we have collaborated together and there is definitely more understanding and I enjoy working with him.”
Khamoshi directed by Chakri Toletiwill be releasing on 31st May 2019.
