Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starring period drama Bharat opened with a bang on this Eid. The movie has turned out amazing numbers in terms of the box-office collection. On its first day the movie has minted 42.3 crore, which happens to be the biggest opening this year.
Ali Abbas Zafar directorial Bharat has collected 42.3 crores on its first day, leaving behind Kalank, Kesari, Gully Boy and Total Dhamaal first day collection mark, which all released in 2019.
Salman Khan took to his social media profile and thanked everyone for the love and support. He also mentioned an anecdote.
He wrote, “Big thk u sabko fr giving sabse bada opening mere career ka par what made me the happiest & proudest is ki during a scene in my film jab national anthem is recited ev1 stood up as a mark of respect. There could be no bigger respect for our country than this… Jai Hind #Bharat”
Fans and audience standing in the middle of film for Indian National Anthem, has made Salman Khan – proud and happiest.
The film is based on the 2014 South Korean melodrama Ode to My Father, starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Disha Patani and Jackie Shroff in the leading roles. It traces India’s post-independence history from the perspective of a common man, and follows his life from the age of 18 to 70.
