We’re still reeling with “Hows the Josh” and here comes big news from the makers of URI; the entire team is all set to reunite for yet another project titled Ashwatthama.
Actor Vicky Kaushal, filmmaker Aditya Dhar and RSVP movies are collaborating to bring the story of Ashwatthama on the big screen.
Filmmaker Aditya has been working on this script since a long time, even before Uri released, and when he narrated to Ronnie and Vicky, they immediately jumped on board. The film will be mounted on a big scale and will be shot later this year.
The RSVP Films official handle confirmed the news on social media. It wrote, “Continuing to keep the josh high, team #URI is back with #Ashwatthama! @vickykaushal09 @RonnieScrewvala @AdityaDharFilms”
Actor Vicky Kaushal became the flavor of 2018 with Love Per Square Foot, Raazi, Manmarziyaan and Sanju. He proved that he is a force to reckon with the first big hit of 2019 URI: The Surgical Strike.
The movie is a period-war film, which is targeting a mid-2020 release. The film will be directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
In the film, Vicky will play Ashwatthama, who was the son of Drona. The film will explore his life and of course his role in the war between the Kauravas and the Pandavas in Mahabharat’s Kurukshetra, as reported.
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming films are an untitled horror film, Karan Johar’s Takht and Shoojit Sircar’s Udham Singh biopic.
