After successful URI collaboration, Actor Vicky Kaushal, filmmaker Aditya Dhar and RSVP movies are collaborating to bring the story of Ashwatthama on the big screen, which is a superhero movie set in modern time.
Filmmaker Aditya has been working on this script since a long time, even before Uri released, and when he narrated to Ronnie and Vicky, they immediately jumped on board. The film will be mounted on a big scale and will be shot later this year.
The entire team – Aditya Dhar and Vicky Kaushal will leave for US to prep for the film. The film will be partly shot in India and rest overseas. The makers are roping in biggest names overseas for special effects and VFX and this could be the biggest film ever made here.
The RSVP Movies official handle confirmed the news on social media. It wrote, “Continuing to keep the josh high, team #URI is back with #Ashwatthama! @vickykaushal09 @RonnieScrewvala @AdityaDharFilms”
Actor Vicky Kaushal became the flavor of 2018 with Love Per Square Foot, Raazi, Manmarziyaan and Sanju. He proved that he is a force to reckon with the first big hit of 2019 URI: The Surgical Strike.
The movie is a period-war film, which is targeting a mid-2020 release. The film will be directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. In the film, Vicky will play Ashwatthama, who was the son of Drona but in modern time.
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming films are an untitled horror film, Karan Johar’s Takht and Shoojit Sircar’s Udham Singh biopic.
