First ever collaboration of filmmaker Shoojit Sircar and actor Vicky Kaushal, a biopic based on real life revolutionary, titled Udham Singh gets a release date. The film will be released on October 2, 2020, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The film is titled Sardar Udham Singh, who is best known for the assassination of Michael O’ Dwyer in London in 1940 to avenge 1919’s Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar. The film will release on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi October 2 in 2020.
Trade Analyst Komal Nahta dropped the deeds on the film. He tweeted, “RisingSunFilms’ SardarUdhamSingh to release on 2Oct2020. Director ShoojitSircar. Producers RonnieLahiri, SheelKumar. The shooting of the film started in April in London, followed by a brief schedule in St Petersberg in Russia. The second schedule of the film will begin in October.
Apart from Udham Singh biopic, Vicky Kaushal will also be seen in filmmaker Bhanu Singh’s directorial debut horror film Bhoot Part One- The Haunted Ship.
It was on the sets of the same film that Vicky had fractured his cheekbone while shooting for an action sequence in Gujarat. The film is scheduled to hit screens on November 15 this year.
Apart from Udham Singh and Bhoot, actor Vicky Kaushal also got Karan Johar directorial Takht in his kitty, which also stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor.
