After Vivek Oberoi starrer PM Narendra Modi was passed for a theatrical release and was issued a U certification, the Election committee banned the film from release until the election are held
Vivek was spotted at the Siddivinayak temple in Mumbai seeking a blessing amid all the controversies and challenges his upcoming film is facing.
When asked about the new development in the film’s release and what brings him to the temple, Vivek said, “We have made this film with a lot of hard work and passion but I don’t know why we have been facing challenges one after the other which is why we have come here to seek the Lord’s blessing. We believe and have faith in Siddivinayak ji. And my mind tells me we will have his blessing and the film will come out soon.”
The film produced by Suresh Oberoi and Anand Pandit, the film was supposed to release on 5th April but has been postponed indefinitely for now.
The ‘Mary Kom’ fame director Omung Kumar has helmed the biographical film. During a recent interview he addressed his fans, and urged them to wait for the film, he said, “You have trusted me before, you have seen my previous work and what kind of films I make so believe in me and so watch this film. I am sure you won’t be disappointed. It’s an inspiring story and you will all love it.”
He also said the film is not propaganda, “Why would it be propaganda, I don’t understand because nobody told us to make the film. I am a neutral person I am not into politics that’s why I am the right person to make this film. And it so happens that I wasn’t influenced by anyone. I am making a film about a person’s inspiring story.”
Starring Vivek Oberoi in the lead role as Modi, the film ‘PM Narendra Modi’ will traverse the journey of Narendra Modi from his humble beginnings as a chai walla to becoming the Prime Minister of India.
