B-Town Actresses Mourns Wajid Khan’s Demise

After Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor, the Indian cinema lost one more gem, Wajid Khan, the talented music composer of duo Sajid-Wajid. He was 42 and died from complications due to suspected Covid-19 on early hours of Monday. This came as shocking news to everyone and since then his close friends from the industry have been paying condolence to the family.

Actresses such as Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Farah Khan and more took to their social media handle and mourn the demise of Wajid Khan.

Actress Priyanka Chopra shared, “Terrible news. The one thing I will always remember is Wajid bhai’s laugh. Always smiling. Gone too soon. My condolences to his family and everyone grieving. Rest in peace my friend. You are in my thoughts and prayers”

Farah Khan wrote, “Gone too soon #WajidKhan… thank you for the music, deepest condolences to his family…”

Bipasha Basu tweeted, “Sad and heartbreaking news. RIP @wajidkhan7…May God give strength to the family for this huge loss.”

Parineeti Chopra wrote, ” Wajid Bhai you were the nicest,nicest, nicest man. Always smiling. All heart. Every music session with him was memorable. You will truly be missed wajid bhai.”

Parineeti Chopra Grateful To People For Making Lockdown Easy

Actress Parineeti Chopra expressed gratitude to her friends and family for taking care of her while she stays at home due to COVID-19 induced lockdown.

Parineeti Chopra took to Instagram to post the picturesque view of the red skies during the sunset. The actress penned down a note thanking for all the people in her life that are going the extra mile to help her as she is quarantining alone.

She captioned it, “Feeling so grateful for all the people in my life who love me and go that extra mile and prove it. I love you back. Thank you for sending me food everyday, helping me with groceries, checking up on me constantly, and keeping me positive. Quarantining alone is NOT easy; but you made it doable. #Home #Friends #Love #Grateful #Blessed”

Chopra is currently staying inside her Mumbai based lockdown ever since nationwide lockdown was imposed.

Meanwhile on the work front, in 2019, Chopra’s appeared in a brief role in the war film Kesari opposite Akshay Kumar. Her second release was Jabariya Jodi with Sidharth Malhotra, a romantic action comedy, based upon the tradition of groom kidnapping, prevalent in Bihar.

Chopra has completed Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar alongside Arjun Kapoor. She will then star in a biographical film Saina, based on the life of Saina Nehwal and in a Hindi remake of British film The Girl on the Train.

‘Meri Pyaari Bindu will always be Special’ says Ayushmann Khurrana

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra starring romantic drama ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ clocked three years of its release, the Article 15 actor got nostalgic and shared throwback pictures along with a special note on social media.

Reminiscing about his character in the movie and the shoot in Calcutta, Khurrana said that the film will always be special for him.

He wrote, “Abhimanyu Bubla Roy was just like me. He loved old songs, was a compulsive writer and a sucker for nostalgia. The box office didn’t pamper this gem but this film will always be special. This was clicked at St Xaviers college in the summers of 2016. We witnessed kaal baisaakhi the next day. It was my first. And I fell in love with Calcutta. Helmed by Akshay Roy, and written by Suprotim Sengupta,’ Meri Pyaari Bindu’ portrays the story of a successful writer Abhimanyu Roy, battling a writer’s block, who returns to his roots to write an old-fashioned love story.

Meanwhile on the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana will next be seen in Gulabo Sitabo, a comedy-drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar, produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar, and written by Juhi Chaturvedi.

The film is set in Lucknow, and also stars Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles. Eponymous glove puppet characters, Gulabo and Sitabo are from Uttar Pradesh, their story is full of local humour and songs, depicting day-to-day struggle of common man.

Actress Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana starring Meri Pyaari Bindu, didn’t make any waves at the box-office and now when the film clocks 3 years, Pari shares a heartfelt note sharing her emotional connection with the film.
Meri Pyaari Bindu was helmed by Akshay Roy, and written by Suprotim Sengupta,’ Meri Pyaari Bindu’ portrays the story of a successful writer Abhimanyu Roy, battling a writer’s block, who returns to his roots to write an old-fashioned love story.
As the movie clocks 3 years, actress Parineeti Chopra shared a couple of behind the screens videos and pictures in an Instagram post. One of the videos featured the two dancing, while it was raining, and the other was from the shoot where the ‘Pehla Nasha’ song played in the background.

She wrote, “Its been 3 years, but the climax of this film still gives me heartache. I can’t listen to my own song #MaanaKiHumYaarNahi without my stomach doing a flip. Parineeti Chopra to Raise Funds with Virtual Coffee Date

Actor Parineeti Chopra has stepped forward to do more amid the COVID-19 crisis. She has decided to go on a virtual coffee date with people to raise funds that will feed 4000 family members of 1000 daily wage earners of our country.

Parineeti has come on board to help raise funds for GiveIndia’s Mission: Ration Kit that aims at delivering food to those most affected by the crisis. The Ishaqzaade star’s campaign will enable ration kits, to sustain a family of 4 people, to be distributed to families in Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Bihar and Tamil Nadu.

The Namaste England star, who is doing this in association with Arjun Kapoor’s sister Anshula’s breakthrough charity initiative Fankind, just took to her social media profile and shared, “You say coffee, I say with me! Come join me for a virtual coffee date – log onto http://fankind.org/parineeti & donate to provide ration kits to daily wage labourers who are struggling to feed their families during the lockdown. #FankindXParineeti @GiveIndia @FankindOfficial”

You need to just log on to Fankind website and donate to be eligible for the virtual date which will aid GiveIndia reach out to the ones who need immediate help. The contest will be open for donation for a week, starting 6 May.

Actress Parineeti Chopra says that fire in the belly is important for an actor and she credits her co-star Sidharth Malhotra for helping her when she was down.
After making fans go gaga over them in the year 2014 with ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’, Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra are reuniting once again for ‘Jabariya Jodi’ and trailer for the film is out!

Talking about some trivia about working with Sidharth, actress Parineeti Chopra said, “Today there is a fire in my belly, which actually came from Sidharth Malhotra. We are amazing friends and there was a time when I was really feeling down, so I went to his house. And we hung out for hours. I think we were kind of hanging in the similar space in our lives and we really spoke our hearts out”
“Somehow I came out that session with Sidharth, feeling all charge up and now whenever I am down or doubting myself, I think of what Sidharth told me.  So this fire in the belly is the best and most important thing, because it really wants to make you 100 percent everyday otherwise actor’s can get easily disconnected”

“You can go on sets, shoot, come back and forget about it, do something else and not care about whatever happens to the film, some people can be disconnected but that want to making the best, is really very important” added Parineeti.

After making fans go gaga over them in the year 2014 with ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’, Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra are reuniting once again for ‘Jabariya Jodi’ and trailer for the film is out!

Actor Sidharth Malhotra dropped the trailer on his social media profile. The movie Jabariya Jodi is based on instances of Pakadwa Shaadi which is prevalent in northern states of Bihar and is the whole story behind this film.

Manav Kaul Joins Saina Nehwal Biopic as Coach

Actor Manav Kaul is going places, post his quirky portrayal in “Tumhari Sulu and “Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Aata Hai” – he has been roped in to play the role of coach in Saina Nehwal Biopic.
The Saina Nehwal Biopic has been undergoing major changes. With Shraddha Kapoor quitting the film and Parineeti Chopra bagging the role to play the main lead, another actor has joined the cast and that it is none other than Manav Kaul.

Manav has been roped in to Parineeti’s coach in the film. The character will draw inspiration from all of Saina’s coaches who had been a source of inspiration in her life.
Confirming the news, Manav Kaul took to his social media profile and wrote, “Finally I am working with Amol Gupte sir…Super excited….T-Series Films”

Actress Parineeti Chopra is prepping big time for the role. The actress had revealed that she wakes up in wee hours every day and practices Badminton every alternate day for two hours. In fact, she would be practicing for nine months straight to be able to do justice to Saina Nehwal.
Manav Kaul was earlier seen in Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Badla, which made big money at the box-office.

Parineeti Chopra Prepping For Saina Nehwal Biopic

Actress Parineeti Chopra is all set to explore the uncharted territory of sports biopic with her forthcoming drama based on ace badminton player Saina Nehwal. The actress is practising rigorously to get into the character and learn the art of playing the game.
Parineeti Chopra just took to her social media profile and shared some candid stills from the practice session, where it looks like she is leaving nothing to chance. She captioned it, “‏Before…and After!@NSaina HOW DO YOU DO THIS! #SainaNehwalBiopic #Training #ShootsStartsInOctober”
In the post, the actor also revealed that the shooting of the film will commence in October this year.
Earlier, Shraddha Kapoor was to play the lead role in the biopic and had even started shooting for it, but she quit the project due to scheduling conflicts post her diagnoses with dengue.
The film’s first look featuring Shraddha was also released by the makers. Even the first look with Parineeti Chopra is in the lead is also out. The biopic is being directed by Amole Gupte and is expected to release in 2020.
Parineeti will be seen next in ‘Bhuj: The Pride Of India’, ‘Jabariya Jodi’, ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ and the Hindi remake of ‘The Girl On The Train’.
