Vicky Kaushal Remembers Sam Manekshaw On His Death Anniversary

Walking on the path of versatility, Vicky Kaushal has made a name of his own in the industry with his different choice of films. In the list of his upcoming films, ‘Manekshaw’ holds a very special place as it is based on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The actor remembers him today on his death anniversary and terms his journey of portraying him on the screen to be very special.

The ‘Raazi’ actor shared a video saluting him and wrote, “Remembering one of India’s finest Field Marshal #SamManekshaw. This journey is going to be very special! with @meghnagulzar #RonnieScrewvala @Bharat_rawail @rsvpmovies @bhavani.iyer @ishantanus.”

Vicky Kaushal Remembers Sam Manekshaw

The film ‘Mankeshaw’ is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw who was the Chied of the Army Staff of the Indian Army during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971, and the first Indian Army Officer to be promoted to the rank of field marshal. Vicky Kaushal will be seen portraying the lead role in the film. The film also features Manoj Bajpayee in prominent role.

Last year, on his death anniversary the first look of the film was shared with the audience and people loved Vicky’s look from the film.

‘Manekshaw’ will be directed by Meghna Gulzar and this will be Vicky’s second collaboration with her post ‘Raazi’.  The film is being written by Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Srivastava and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The film will go on the floors in 2021.
