Amid coronavirus lockdown everything has come to a halt. People are bored to death. With the theatres shut cinema lovers are craving to see their favorite stars in new avatars. But now no more holding your fire. There is good news for all the people who want to enjoy their chosen one. The makers are all set to release their movies on OTT platforms.
Disney + Hotstar announced seven big films that are set for a direct release on the OTT platform. The virtual press meet was attended by actors Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Abhishek Bachchan and Alia Bhatt. The posters of the films were also unveiled.

Khuda Haafiz – Starring Vidyut Jammwal in the lead role, the film is a romantic thriller directed by Faruk Kabir. Shivalika Oberoi plays the female lead in the film. Khuda Haafiz also stars Annu Kapoor, Shiv Panditt, Nawab Shah and Aahana Kumra, among others.
Laxmmi Bomb – Akshay Kumar’s horror-comedy, Laxmmi Bomb is one of the most-awaited films of this year and will premiere on Disney + Hotstar. It was earlier scheduled to hit the silver screens on the occasion of Eid, on June 5. In the film, Akshay plays the role of a man who gets possessed by a ghost of a transgender. The actor’s first look was unveiled in October last year, on the occasion of Navratri. Akshay Kumar was seen wearing a saree with a big, red bindi and an intense expression on his face.
Sadak 2 – Mahesh Bhatt’s directorial comeback, Sadak 2 will premiere on Disney+Hotstar. The film boasts of an ensemble starcast of Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. It is the sequel to the 1991 cult-classic of the same name.
Bhuj: The Pride of India – Starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role, the film is based on the Indo-Pak war of 1971. Ajay Devgn plays the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik in the film. Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Sharad Kelkar also play pivotal roles. Directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the film will soon premiere on Disney+Hotstar.
The Big Bull – Abhishek Bachchan plays the lead role in The Big Bull. As per reports, the film is based on the life of infamous stockbroker Harshad Mehta. Before the novel coronavirus crisis, the film was scheduled for a theatrical release on October 23. However, it will now digitally premiere on OTT.
Dil Bechara – Sushant Singh Rajput’s last release, Dil Bechara, will be available for streaming on Disney + Hotstar from July 24. The film marks the Bollywood debut of Sanjana Sanghi. Casting director Mukesh Chhabra turns a feature film director with Dil Bechara. Saif Ali Khan and Swastika Mukherjee also play key roles in the film. It is the official Hindi remake of 2014 Hollywood romantic drama The Fault in our Stars, based on John Green’s book with the same name.
Lootcase – Kunal Kemmu’s Lootcase will also be available on Disney+Hotstar for streaming. The comic entertainer stars Rasika Dugal as the female lead. The plot revolves around a middle-class man named Nandan (Kunal Kemmu), who finds a bag full of Rs 2000 notes. While on one hand he is asking people if they have lost their bag, on the other, several powerful men are looking for it. Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, the film was earlier scheduled to release on October 11 in theatres.
